¡Hola a todos! Ver la separación de One Direction hace unos años significó la caída de una de las bandas juveniles con mayor relevancia en todo el planeta para mi generación. En ese momento la pregunta que surgió fue: ¿Qué haría cada uno de sus miembros? En mi caso, simplemente me dediqué a observar, es decir, a ver que ocurriría.

Algo que nunca pensé, es que mi gusto variaría, y se inclinaría a la música tan impredecible de Harry Styles. Para ser exacto, él es uno de los artistas a los que podría describir como más polémicos en la actualidad, su música es maravillosa, y a la misma vez, está adaptada a los estereotipos de las diferentes masas juveniles actuales. Bueno, es que él en sí mismo es moldeable e irreverente, aparte de que en su paso por One Direction emitía exceso de carisma.

En este punto, pienso que incluso el exceso de carisma puede ser insuficiente, cuando se trata de conectar con los fans, pero veo a Harry como uno de esos artistas que busca tocar los puntos claves de la juventud con sus canciones. Actualmente, estamos en un entorno de irreverencia, de sosiego, de racionalidad y de discusiones superficiales. Particularidades que algunos pueden vislumbrar como una crítica colectiva que se explana en cada una de sus canciones permeándose en todos los jóvenes desde los más conservadores hasta los más liberales. ¿Irónico? No, no lo es, más bien es sumamente atractivo.

Well, he himself is moldable and irreverent, apart from the fact that during his time with One Direction he emitted an excess of charisma.

At this point, I think that even too much charisma can be insufficient when it comes to connecting with fans, but I see Harry as one of those artists who seeks to touch the key points of youth with his songs. Currently, we are in an environment of irreverence, calmness, rationality and superficial discussions. Particularities that some can glimpse as a collective criticism that is explored in each of his songs permeating all young people from the most conservative to the most liberal. Ironic? No, it is not, rather it is extremely attractive.

Treat People With Kindness, con esta canción indiscutiblemente siento que me trasporto a los años 70 del siglo XX. La tonalidad de la voz de Harry puede que resulte un poco opacada, por los aplausos y por la voz de quienes cantan junto a él, pero lo realmente maravilloso es la forma en la que te conectas, sientes eso divertido de la época en un arista que mueve a los Jóvenes y a los adolescentes de este siglo.

Esta canción la escucho cuando quiero gritar o tengo un nudo en la garganta, no es que sea molestia, es simplemente una mezcla emocional, quizás de imposibilidades, pero la canción refleja muy bien esos sentimientos. Algo que me gusta es la parte en donde explana que nos podemos caer en un lugar, pero podemos encontrar uno para nosotros que realmente nos valore. Mi mayor ejemplo para esto sería de manera indiscutible: Hive, es que este es un lugar que nos entiende en plenitudes, es decir, encontré un lugar en donde me siento bien.

My biggest example for this would be indisputably: Hive, is that this is a place that understands us in fullness, that is, I found a place where I feel good.

Una de las melodías que creo que poseen más identidad artística de Harry, es Falling, esta canción es una de mis favoritas, refleja como todo se va hundiendo, la pesadilla de las emociones humanas, y como puede todo comenzarse a llenar de agua en una habitación hasta ahogarte. ¿Doloroso? Para nada. Esto también es arte, y uno que encaja muy bien con lo que cada uno de nosotros puede llegar a sentir.

Esta canción, es una que siempre voy a escuchar, esa parte de la letra que te hace preguntar: ¿qué soy ahora? Es la que más me fascina, que importa si me rindo, que importa si no me llego a aceptar y que importa lo demás. Cada quien puede encontrar su camino, si me ahogo, si me pierdo y si estoy deprimido sé que puedo acudir a ella.

¿Sabes por qué posee identidad? Simple, los seres humanos somos personas emocionales, hoy estamos felices y otros días puede que no sea así. Cuando esto ocurre nos aislamos, y pareciera que un torrente de agua nos apaciguara, pero aun así encontramos nuestro camino. Por eso la escucho.

One of the tunes that I think has the most artistic identity of Harry, is Falling, this song is one of my favorites, it reflects how everything is sinking, the nightmare of human emotions, and how everything can start to fill up with water in a room until you drown. Painful? Not at all. This is also art, and one that fits very well with what each of us can feel.

This song is one that I will always listen to, that part of the lyrics that makes you ask: what am I now? It's the one that fascinates me the most, what does it matter if I give up, what does it matter if I don't accept myself and what does the rest matter. Everyone can find their own way, if I'm drowning, if I'm lost and if I'm depressed I know I can turn to her.
