Hello everyone! This is one of the craziest and unexpected trips for me. Well, they say that what is not planned turns out to be exciting. I will tell you everything little by little so you can understand me. I was at home working, I got up early as I do every day and suddenly I received a call telling me the following: We will pick you up in fifteen minutes.

What the fuck! I didn't know what to do, I just focused on writing and informing that I had to go out and that I would stop all my activities. Well, it was already the end of the week, I had nothing due. Everything that was due was sent the day before, so work was not an inconvenience for me. I decided to get rid of everything and change clothes quickly.

Luckily I don't usually think too much about what to wear on certain occasions (this was one of them), I showered as quickly as possible, put on a sweater, pants and my Hive logo cap. While I was doing that, my family and friends were waiting for me outside my house in the car. The fifteen minutes went by too fast. I practically came out all wet.

Anyway, I managed to get ready and we set off on our journey. My question was: Where are we going? The truth is that I did not know, it was something strange and suddenly they told me if I had brought a bathing suit... They explained to me in the car that we were going to a place a little far from the city of Barquisimeto. This place is in the town or city of Tamaca, specifically on the road to Duaca, in the State of Lara, Venezuela.

I was surprised by several things: I did not know where the place was, the site I think was something that opened recently and is a space where water abounds. Water? The truth is that we were going to an Agro-Touristic Park or I could also call it a tourist complex with pools and slides.

¡Hola a todos! Este es uno de los viajes más locos e inesperados para mí. Bueno, dicen que lo que no está planeado resulta emocionante. Les contaré todo poco a poco para que me puedan entender. Me encontraba en mi casa trabajando, me levanté temprano como lo hago cotidianamente y repentinamente recibí una llamada donde me decían lo siguiente: Pasamos por ti en quince minutos.

¡Qué carajos! No sabía qué hacer, simplemente me enfoqué a escribir e informar que tenía que salir y que paralizaría todas mis actividades. Bueno, ya era cierre de semana, no tenía nada pendiente. Todo lo que debía entregar fue enviado el día anterior, así que el trabajo no fue un inconveniente para mí. Decidí desprenderme de todo y cambiarme de ropa rápidamente.

Por suerte no suelo pensar mucho en que colocarme en ciertas ocasiones (esta era una de ellas), me duché lo más rápido posible, me coloqué un suéter, un pantalón y mi gorra con el logo de Hive. Mientras hacía eso, mi familia y amigos me esperaban afuera de mi casa en el carro. Los quince minutos pasaron demasiado rápido. Prácticamente salí todo mojado.

En fin, logré arreglarme y emprendimos el viaje. Mi pregunta era: ¿A dónde vamos? La verdad es que no lo sabía, era algo extraño y de repente me dicen que si había traído traje de baño… Me explicaron en el carro que íbamos a un lugar un poco lejano de la ciudad de Barquisimeto. Este sitio está en el pueblo o ciudad de Tamaca, específicamente en la vía hacia Duaca, en el Estado Lara, Venezuela.

Estaba sorprendido por varias cosas: no sabía dónde era el lugar, el sitio creo que era algo que abrieron hace poco tiempo y es un espacio en donde abunda el agua. ¿Agua? La verdad es que íbamos a un Parque Agro-Turístico o lo podría llamar también un complejo turístico con piscinas y toboganes.

Now that I am 26 years old I see this unexpected, when I was a 10 year old boy, my mother always took us to places like this. To get to this place we took the only connecting road that connects the city of Barquisimeto with the urban polygonal of the city of Tamaca. Although the tourist park is actually between Tamaca and Duaca to be exact. I didn't know exactly where it was and besides I hadn't been to this city in years.

We arrived at approximately 11:30 am local time. We saw the space and I was shockingly surprised. At the entrance there were statues of Anubis. The tourist park is called: The Pharaoh of the North, the concept of modeling, is something that left me surprised because it is intermingled with the culture of Egypt and adapted to local Venezuelan consumption. This is visually appealing, plus it leaves you with a taste of intrigue... I'm starting.

Ahora que tengo 26 años veo esto inesperado, cuando era un niño de 10 años, mi madre siempre nos llevaba a sitios como estos. Para llegar a este lugar tomamos la única vía de conexión que une la ciudad de Barquisimeto con la poligonal urbana de la ciudad de Tamaca. Aunque el parque turístico en realidad está entre Tamaca y Duaca para ser exactos. No sabía exactamente donde era y además no había ido en años a esta ciudad.

Llegamos aproximadamente a las 11:30 am hora local. Vimos el espacio y me sorprendió impactantemente. En la entrada había estatuas de Anubis. El parque turístico se llama: El Faraón del Norte, el concepto de modelado, es algo que me dejó sorprendido debido a que se entremezcla con la cultura de Egipto y se adapta al consumo local venezolano. Esto atrae visualmente, además que te deja un sabor de intriga… Estoy iniciando.

The place is not completely built, as far as I noticed, but the recreational area is ready and there is very good attention. At this point, I must point out that people who go to swim in the huge pool must pay $2 per person, while those who go to eat or drink alcohol do not pay an entrance fee.

Something that caught my attention is that everything was very organized when entering and there was plenty of space to interact while waiting for your turn. In this place there is parking, you don't have to pay to leave your car there and there is security.

En este punto, debo acotar que las personas que se van a bañar en la inmensa piscina deben cancelar por persona 2 $, mientras que aquellos que van a comer o consumir algo de alcohol no pagan una entrada.

Algo que me llamó poderosamente la atención es que todo era muy organizado al entrar y había mucho espacio para interactuar mientras esperabas tu turno. En este lugar hay estacionamiento, no se debe pagar por dejar el carro ahí y existe seguridad.

After canceling the tickets for the people who would be swimming in the pool and jumping off the slides, we decided to sit at a table and order beers while enjoying live talent on a small stage in the tourist park.

After that I decided to walk around the pool, its space and the architectural modeling that was really very striking and exotic. As I walked around and visualized the first thing I noticed noticeably was the shower area, these also had a very extravagant and Egyptian design. Amazing, isn't it?

Al cancelar las entradas de las personas que se bañarían en la piscina y se lanzarían de los toboganes, decidimos sentarnos en uno mesa y pedir cervezas mientras disfrutábamos de talento en vivo en una pequeña tarima que había en el parque turístico.

Después de eso decidí recorrer los alrededores de la piscina, su espacio y el modelado arquitectónico que realmente era muy llamativo y exótico. Al caminar y visualizar lo primero que percaté notablemente fue el área de las duchas, estas también tenían un diseño muy extravagante y egipcio. Increíble, ¿verdad?

Also the modeling of the pool had a pyramid, with an engraved design of a bust of a mummy and the slides. The view was really relaxing, plus the atmosphere was very comforting and warm due to the surroundings. Everything felt very cheerful in this place that is isolated from the city.

También el modelado de la piscina tenía una pirámide, con un diseño grabado de un busto de una momia y los toboganes. La vista realmente era relajante, además el ambiente era muy confortante y cálido debido al entorno. Todo se sentía muy alegre en este lugar que está aislado de la ciudad.

The hours passed quickly and we ordered the Menu where there was everything: Venezuelan food, fast food and also seafood. In the end, after a difficult choice and a close vote, we ordered some delicious Venezuelan grills. I managed to photograph only one of them, I liked everything on it: fish, chicken, beef, cheese, avocado, plantains and potatoes. The price of each one was 40 US dollars. A bit expensive, but they were huge and we cancelled them among all of us who went, and to be honest, they were delicious.

I love those places where you can enjoy, where you can relax and also connect with the space. I think these places should exist to connect with you and forget about everything. The more than one hour drive was definitely worth it.

Las horas pasaron rápidamente y pedimos el Menú donde había de todo: comida venezolana, rápida y también marisquería. Al final, después de una difícil elección y votación reñida, ordenamos para comer unas ricas parrillas venezolanas. Logré fotografiar una sola de ellas, me gustó todo lo que tenía: pescado, pollo, carne, queso, palta o aguacate, plátanos y papas. El precio de cada una era de 40 dólares estadounidenses. Algo caras, pero eran inmensas y las cancelamos entre todos los que fuimos, y les soy sincero, estaban riquísimas.

Me encantan esos lugares en donde se puede disfrutar, donde uno se puede relajar y además conectar con el espacio. Pienso que estos sitios deben existir para conectar contigo y olvidarte de todo. Emprender por más de una hora en carretera valió la pena sin lugar a dudas.

After I finished eating I went to continue touring the tourist park and I found a fountain where there were some ducks swimming, I asked and they told me that the part that still needs to be finished is where the animals will be. I loved that even more...

Luego de terminar de comer me evoqué a seguir recorriendo el parque turístico y di con una fuente en donde había unos patos nadando, pregunté y me indicaron que la parte que aún falta por terminar es donde estarán los animales. Me encantó eso aún más…

When doing all this I was always accompanied by a beer. The price in this touristy place is not so expensive. We drank a lot, and they also sell rum and other drinks according to the tastes of each person.

Al hacer todo esto siempre estuve acompañado de una cerveza. El precio en este lugar turístico no es tan costoso. Tomamos bastante, además venden ron y otras bebidas acordes a los gustos de cada quien.

There were horses, I love horses, but I always avoid riding them and this time I just watched my cousin ride one while I watched the ride. On my last trip I also did the same thing. I promise that next time I will ride a horse, if I fall off at least I will have tried. : )

Había caballos, amo los caballos, pero siempre evito montarlos y en esta oportunidad solamente vi como mi prima se montaba en uno mientras yo miraba el recorrido. En mi último viaje también hice lo mismo. Prometo que en la próxima ocasión montaré a caballo, si me caigo por lo menos lo habré intentado. : )

When we finished riding we went to take a closer look at the statues of Anubis at the entrance and I decided to take a picture or two there.

Al terminar de montar a caballo nos fuimos ver de manera más cercana las estatuas de Anubis en la entrada y decidí tomarme una que otra fotografía allí.

We went back to the table and I ordered some delicious Venezuelan tequeños, have you tried them? The only thing I didn't like is that they served them with ketchup sauce, I wanted it to be with garlic sauce. If you eat tequeños it should be with this sauce, the flavor is explosive.

Volvimos a la mesa y pedí unos ricos tequeños venezolanos. ¿Los han probado? Lo único que no me gustó es que los sirvieron con salsa kétchup, quería que fuera con salsa de ajo. Si comes tequeños debe ser con esta salsa, el sabor es explosivo.

I watched as everyone bathed, there was live talent and even an inflatable for the kids to jump on. This is one of the best places I have visited on my April vacation without a doubt. If you are in Venezuela and want to go to a secluded place to swim, eat something delicious and ride a horse, you must go to this tourist park.

Vi como todos se bañaban, había talento en vivo e incluso un inflable para que los niños saltaran. Este es uno de los mejores lugares que he visitado en mis vacaciones de abril sin lugar a dudas. Si estás en Venezuela y quieres ir a un sitio recóndito a bañarte, comer algo delicioso y montar a caballo, debes ir a este parque turístico.
