3km warmup 5km parkrun 4km warm down

I just finished a 12.39km running that lasted about 1hh:28mm:22ss !

Up early this morning for a 2 hour drive to collect a new parkrun at Highfields in the Toowoomba region. My 327th parkrun at 92 different locations. My official time 25:17, first in my age group 6th over all in a small field of 63 runners and walkers.

The course was 2 and half laps around a fantastic sporting complex. Not the fastest parkrun with about 60m elevation gain overall, up the same hill 3 times, some fast downhills and even a twisting curvey chicane section. Included grass, gravel and concrete path under foot something for everyone. Weather was perfect early but was pretty hot and sweaty by the end. I did a few extra kilometers before and after to explore the area and get a few photos. The photo of me running was by the parkrun volunteer photographer.
