NFT Showroom artist guide: a simplified version for those already familiar with HIVE

If you already have a HIVE account with keychain installed and understand the concept of NFTs this is the guide for you. If you need info on setting up a HIVE account, keychain and are brand new around here we would suggest checking out the ---> Full Artist Guide

Apply to tokenize

A while back we simplified our application process, anyone with an active HIVE account in good standing (no spam/phishing/plagiarism history) can apply and get automatically approved. This process is still manual so please allow 24-48 hours.

How to apply

Log in to https://nftshowroom.com/, click the dropdown menu with your username in the top right corner and choose profile
On the profile page fill out your details and upload and avatar/banner. Click UPDATE
It may take some time for the images to propagate on your gallery page, this is normal
scroll to the bottom of the page and click APPLY
Once approved we will leave you a comment on you HIVE blog letting you know

Tokenize art

The first step is to get SWAP.HIVE in your wallet. You can deposit HIVE on tribaldex or in your NFTShowroom wallet
It costs 3.333 SWAP.HIVE for a single edition, if you are minting a multiple edition batch add 0.01 HIVE for each edition
Navigate to the tokenize page, you can upload AUDIO/IMAGE:GIF/VIDEO. Clicking on each option will tell you the file types accepted and the maximum sizes for both the main file and thumbnail
Upload your files and fill out all the details, double check everything is correct as it can not be changed after, agree to the terms and click MINT NFT and sign the keychain transaction
The art will go to your COLLECTION (it is not yet visible on the market! To list it head to the COLLECTION tab, click on the art and scroll down. You will see your token(s) with a MANAGE button next to each one.
Clicking MANAGE send them to the cart where you can choose to list them for sale ---> choose SELL (alternatively CREATE AUCTION, TRANSFER to another account or BURN)
Once you have added a price the token will be available for purchase on the marketplace
TIP- If you have created a large batch of tokens you can click MANAGE on the first one then hold SHIFT and click the last one, this will add them all to the cart

Market your art and get curated

Now that your art is available we recommend you share it on your socials and also make a blog post on HIVE. We have a curation partnership with OCD called Behind the Art where we curate and feature posts about NFT Showroom. This is open to creators and collectors. You can post your blog to any community you like but please add nftshowroom in your tags so we can find your post :)
