Q: Tell us a bit about yourself!

My name is Alí Bastardo, I am 23 years old and I am Venezuelan, originally from a small coastal town called Cariaco, but I am currently settled in Maturín, Monagas state. Apart from dedicating myself to art I am a student of architecture, architectural draftsman and university professor in the area of language and communication (Spanish language).
I come from a lower middle class family that although it has been affected by the economic crisis in my country has never stopped fighting and supporting me, which has given me the opportunity to train as a professional and has always been by my side, teaching me that despite the circumstances hard work eventually pays off, everything I have and everything I am I owe to them.

Q: What is your art background?

Although my interest in graphic arts awakened at a very early age, the place where I grew up did not offer me many opportunities for training in that sense, my first artistic works were limited to some homework and an occasional competition between schools in which I was never very outstanding, luckily I did not let that discourage me and over time and with much practice and experimentation I have managed to improve, integrate new techniques, discover new tools and try to create a recognizable and unique style.

I started with traditional drawing, pencil on paper, then pens and from one moment to another I started to digitally retouch my drawings with Photoshop, giving them finishes that I could hardly achieve with traditional techniques, at least not with the tools I had available at the time. Now I am exploring digital drawing, from the very sketch to the final result, using Ibis Paint X on Android.
I like to think that my style is halfway between caricatures and realism, I try to respect proportions and anatomy, but I like to keep simple and defined lines, not so realistic finishes being my most common subject matter the female nude.

Q: How long have you been in cryptoart/ NFTs, how did you discover them and what has been your experience so far?

I am really new in the area of cryptocurrencies and NFTs, where I entered thanks to an excellent friend and colleague @andreart99 who was always patiently guiding me and advising me to tokenize my first works. Now I'm about to complete my first year in HIVE and NFTShowroom, a couple of months later I joined Ghostmarket.io.

Q: Any new art or upcoming projects you would like to tease?

Right now I am still working on my collection EL REGRESO, which marks my return to illustration after a brief and necessary pause to find myself and what I really want to achieve as an artist. In EL REGRESO I completely abandon the traditional drawing that until now had been the basis of my work and start creating fully digital illustrations. My goal is to include at least 25 illustrations in this collection and then start tokenizing my next collection, a personalized version of the Spanish deck that I am working on in parallel and that will have 40 cards, some of them showing the naked figures as it is customary in my work.

Q: What are your top three favorite pieces of art you have tokenized on NFT Showroom?

Realmente me siento orgulloso de mi progreso en mis más recientes trabajos, creo que justo en este momento mis favoritos son:
