Food For The Soul,Thoughts For The Mind.[WEEK135]

Ever wondered why that guy next door committed suicide? Or why the gentleman on the next lane gave up on everything and ended his life?

It was just another story written on the second page
Underneath the Tiger's football score
It said he was only eighteen, a boy about my age
They found him face down on his bedroom floor

No amount of thinking can make you know the reason for their actions. You’d say to yourself ‘why would I do this to myself when I have my whole life ahead’
I bet you’d even swear you have never had those kinds of thoughts.

There comes those days when you’re filled with emptiness and you find comfort in nothing. We all have those days but ,how do we escape it? Does it pass with time?

The one song that keeps me going every day and encourages me to keep pushing no matter how hard it seems.

This song was recommended by a very good friend of mine.
His words were ‘listen to it at night and you’ll understand’.

Those moments when you are alone with your thoughts. That’s when it hits you.

You know that feeling when you listen to a particular song and you feel this song is talking directly to you and you can totally relate?

This is that song. That one that brings me back to reality and reminds me that giving up is not an option and suicide is never an option.

How do you get that lonely, how do you hurt that bad
To make you make the call, that havin' no life at all
Is better than the life that you had
How do you feel so empty, you want to let it all go
How do you get that lonely, and nobody know

How do we get that lonely to the extent of loosing ourselves in the process. Ever asked yourself this?
What was going on with this young man? How long had he stayed strong telling himself it will all be better with time?

Did he feel the anger? The pain? The hatred? The emptiness?
No one knows.

Did his girlfriend break up with him, did he buy or steal that gun?
Did he lose a fight with drugs or alcohol?
Did his Mom and Daddy forget to say I love you son?
Did no one see the writing on the wall?

There’s a story behind every suicide. A lot more than what you see or think. Maybe you’ve been there before.
But I think there’s no excuse for suicide and suicide is not an option.
Think of those who look up to you, your loved ones, your kids, your family. They do not deserve the pain you’re about to make them go through.

I'm not blamin' anybody, we all do the best we can
I know hindsight's 20/20, but I still don't understand
How do you get that lonely, how do you hurt that bad
To make you make the call, that havin' no life at all
Is better than the life that you had

Maybe that was their only option. They didn’t have any reason to push further.
I’ve been at a point where I thought I didn’t have anything to live for. I thought my life wasn’t worth it.
But look at me now.I have a reason to live to see tomorrow.

This is one of the best songs I've ever come across. The message it carries is more than enough for someone who is slowly loosing himself. Sometimes that feeling cannot be explained even though we try hard to. So we just learn to live with it.
This song has carried me through life for soo many years and I still listen to it anytime I feel I’m loosing myself.

A reminder to all those in a bad place today, tomorrow is going to be a better day so do not give up. There are good days ahead.

Above is the link to the song. I hope you take time to enjoy this beautiful piece.

It is wonderful how the music and lyrics of some songs inspire or encourage us. Music is powerful and really a good lyric like the one you share with us can, although it seems incredible, encourage us during our life.

It gets to the point that you feel know one would get it even if you talk about it
Or you get so used to it that you no longer feel the need to speak up

I also have this tendency of feeling I’m being a bother when I speak about what’s wrong with me

I think the best we can do is to just be kind to everyone we come across. Maybe a little thing you do or say to someone could change their minds and bring more positivity.

This is a great piece. Time to check out the song
