Your Posts, Their Concern: How Much Power Should Schools Have?
Education has slowly evolved to be the bedrock of our society today. As time goes by , most parents start to understand the importance of education and that I believe contributes to the growing number of educated youth we see today. Most of us have spent our entire lives in school. From preschool all the way to university and further.

If you should sum it all, some people probably have spent up to 20 years or more of their lives working j the educational system. On the other hand, social media has grown to become an everyday thing in our lives. Every single one of us is on social media. Some of us have our jobs and other things that bring us money on the internet or social media as people like to put it.
Most recently, we have seen how almost all kids have access to social media. I have younger ones in my home and they all have tablets and other gadgets they use. Some of them don’t have access to the internet but you know kids will always find their way around things when you’re not looking.
Most of our children spend almost half of their lives in school. The school plays a huge part in the grooming of children whether we like it or not. It’s not always about learning English, science and other subjects. They meet other kids there, make friends and build relationships in the school. They pick habits from others whether good or bad and it’s the role of parents to keep them in check because there a limit to what the school can do for them.
Speaking of social media and school, we know that we can’t really control what people do on the internet. I have a friend who has multiple social media account. This friend of mine has a main account for themselves and a side account to do whatever they what to do online. The main account always has a clean sheet but you see the side account, that’s where they like what they actually want to like and make the comments they really want to.

I haven’t heard of school monitoring the accounts of students and teachers but if they should do that, there’s always going to be a limitation to it. People will always find a way around what they want to do. You can try your best but what they want to do is what they will do. I really don’t think it’s necessary to track or monitor the activities of students and teachers on the internet. What I think can be done is to actually make sure to instill a positive attitude and integrity into these people because someone with integrity and self discipline wouldn’t do some things no matter the influence or pressure they are under.
It’s one thing to monitor people and it’s another thing to hold their hand and guide them to the right path. At the end of the day, it’s important that everyone feels safe.
