Splinterlands has too many choices to keep up.

Splinterlands when I joined.

This is just looking at the legendary situation.

Splinterlands now.

That is some change in a couple or years. If you look at the commons it's 4x more new cards.

The amount of cards has grown massively since those early days and it's an expensive hobby to keep adding all of the new options to your deck.

Then the questions becomes how to match them all to your team.

Is there any point in keeping 100 cards playable when you can hit diamond with 40 cards and rent out the rest?

Then you have all of the additional factors that have entered the game in the past year or two.

  • Land
  • Chaos legion.
  • Vouchers.
  • Validator nodes.
  • Riftwatchers.
  • Runi cards.
  • Tower defense.
  • Genesis League soccer.

That's a lot of options for limited funds. Which to buy and where will the profit be.

It's hard to know what way to go with the game but what i do know is that i will have to make a few choices since i cant afford to buy into everything.

I already passed on runi's since i hate Ethereum with a passion. I refuse to do business on that chain.

I passed on Validator nodes as i think that it's as profitable to stake SPS without losing your bankroll.

I'm not sure on tower defense just yet, I'll probably buy off the secondary market to give it a go.

Chaos legion is my current focus, buying cards and packs.

Then when Genesis soccer goes live I will try to get in with a decent stake to begin with as it is exactly what i would like to see develop as a game going forward.

There is never enough funds for everything.

With a couple of obvious exceptions it is impossible to keep up with everything on offer from the splinterlands team. There is just too much happening.

Especially if i want to take any funds out of the game. It's hard to do right now as everything is compounding so the best place to keep it is in the game and earning more.

Splinterlands just keep getting bigger and better every year.

Try for yourself.

If you haven't played the game before then now is the best time to join. Today is much better than tomorrow and a lot better than later.

Cards worth a few cents now will have a much higher value in the future as the print runs out. We have a strong community and seen this happen every time as it grows with the game.

I haven't really gotten into Splinterlands properly, I've played a few games but I'm not that good.

How do we get the cards? Can we complete quests for cards or do we have to buy them from the market?

It looks like the cards available expanded a lot in a few years. It's kind of amazing to see how far the game has developed.

I agree that there are way too many investments and it's hard to decide where to invest. From what I see, I think your decision to focus on a few is the best way to approach things. Choose the investments you believe in the most.

Just stake that SPS, add it to the LPs and let the magical money printer do its thing :)
