Digital drawing | Little fairy // Dibujo en digital | Pequeña hada

Hello, Hive. Happy beginning of the week!

I thought of the idea of drawing a fairy because I have always found them curious and interesting creatures, according to the stories, they possess gifts and powers that allow them to heal, care, and grant wishes, although they look small and fragile, nothing can defeat them, they are stronger than they look, they have the strength of roses and the beauty of butterflies.

Process:

At first I was frustrated drawing the legs, I didn't see that they were in the right proportion to the body, but after looking at some reference images, I managed to draw them the right size. What I like about using a digital program to draw, is that you don't waste so much time erasing, there are many tools that allow you to cut, paste and redo with a click, but in the end the most important thing is patience and drawing practice to achieve a good result.

Throughout the process there were many changes in the drawing, some more noticeable than others: like the shape of the hair, facial expression and color of the attire; in many occasions there will be changes that even we don't expect, in my case, I am open to them, I think I am a little meticulous and I try that every detail has harmony with the composition in general.

I felt very good with the green color of the line, I think up to this point the drawing looked pretty good, and I could have left it like this, but I like to add details that give more life to the drawing, but for that I had to change the color of the line, because I didn't feel it was in accordance with the composition.

Fairies are also known as protective spirits of nature, so I included in this composition flowers and a small butterfly, which accompany the main figure of the fairy without taking away her prominence; I added some glitter effects to exalt the magic that these creatures have and I drew on her face an expression of devotion and sweetness for life, the colors I chose are contrasting, but I feel they complement the composition in general.

At the last minute, I decided to change the colors of the outfit, I chose these that I felt much more harmonious with the theme, but what do you think, which one would you choose?

The process of this drawing was done completely digitally, in Photoshop software, it took me at least 3 days to complete this composition, although I didn't add too much elaborate details, I was very satisfied with the result. I was originally planning to do the drawing on paper, but I'm glad I pushed myself to draw it in digital, the limits are sometimes in our mind, but if we focus on accomplishing a goal, our effort will allow us to reach it.

Pensé en la idea de dibujar un hada porque siempre me han parecido criaturas curiosas e interesantes, según las historias, poseen dones y poderes que permiten sanar, cuidar, y conceder deseos, aunque se ven pequeñas y frágiles, nada puede derrotarlas, son más fuertes de lo que aparentan, tienen la fortaleza de las rosas y la belleza de las mariposas.

Proceso:

Al principio me sentí frustrada al dibujar las piernas, no veía que tuvieran la proporción adecuada al cuerpo, pero después de ver algunas imágenes de referencia, logré dibujarlas del tamaño adecuado. Lo que me gusta de usar un programa digital para dibujar, es que no se pierde tanto tiempo borrando, hay muchas herramientas que permiten cortar, pegar y rehacer con un clic, pero al final lo más importante es la paciencia y la práctica del dibujo para poder lograr un buen resultado.

A lo largo del proceso hubo muchos cambios en el dibujo, algunos más notorios que otros: como la forma del cabello, expresión facial y color del atuendo; en muchas ocasiones habrá cambios que ni siquiera nosotros esperamos, en mi caso, estoy abierta a ellos, creo que soy un poco meticulosa y procuro que cada detalle tenga armonía con la composición en general.

Me sentía muy bien con el color verde de la línea, creo que hasta este punto el dibujo se veía bastante bien, y pude haberlo dejado así, pero me gusta agregar detalles que le den más vida al dibujo, pero para ello tuve que cambiar el color de la línea, pues ya no sentía que fuera en concordancia con la composición.

Las hadas también son conocidas como espíritus protectores de la naturaleza, así que por eso incluí en esta composición flores y una pequeña mariposa, las cuales acompañan a la figura principal del hada sin quitarle protagonismo; añadí algunos efectos de brillos para exaltar esa magia que tienen estas criaturas y dibujé en su rostro una expresión de devoción y dulzura por la vida, los colores que escogí son contrastantes, pero siento que complementan la composición en general.

A último minuto, decidí cambiarle los colores al atuendo, escogí estos que sentí mucho más armoniosos con el tema, ¿pero ustedes qué piensan? ¿Cual escogerían ustedes?

El proceso de este dibujo fue realizado completamente en digital, en el software Photoshop, me tomó un tiempo de al menos 3 días completar esta composición, si bien no añadí detalles demasiado elaborados, me sentí muy satisfecha con el resultado. En principio pensaba hacer el dibujo en papel, pero me alegra haberme empujado a dibujarlo en digital, los límites a veces están en nuestra mente, pero si nos enfocamos en cumplir un objetivo, nuestro esfuerzo nos permitirá alcanzarlo.
