Colamos y listo! A disfrutar mientras cuidamos nuestro cuerpo introduciendo vitaminas.

Hey friends, happy Saturday to all!🙋🏽‍♂️

Today I bring you the preparation of this very healthy, medicinal and delicious juice that you can prepare with only 3 ingredients.

Juice of paprika and guava sabanera

We will need:

  • 2 ripe sabanera guavas
  • 1 green or preferably red bell pepper
  • 2 spoonfuls of sugar, papelón or honey

My grandmother always prepared this juice for us because of its medicinal properties to raise hemoglobin in cases of anemia. And if the juice is made with red pepper, it is even more beneficial, and the taste is incredible.

To do this, we are going to boil the guavas in a little water after washing them and cutting them in half.

When they are boiled, we are going to blend them together with the paprika, previously removing the seeds and adding the sweetener of our preference.

Strain and that's it! Enjoy while we take care of our body by introducing vitamins.

That's an interesting combination. I never would have thought of adding paprika to a drink in the first place, but I guess they could work. Perhaps red paprika would be a nicer flavour? Also, would you recommend mature guavas over younger ones?

Hi @millycf1976

Red, not green, bell peppers are generally used, and please read the and please read the comment I left for him below. Thank you.

Ok, thanks for that @sirenahippie. I was going to ask about the red vs white guavas, but I see that you touched on that, and other aspects 😉
Thank you:)

Regarding red or white guavas, both have many vitamins. This particular sabanera guava, whose scientific name is Psidium guineense, is pink in color when ripe.

When a fruit is red or pink in color, it has a greater amount of beta-carotene. Beta-carotenes are precursors of vitamin A, essential for the production of melatonin and skin protection, proper functioning of the retina, among others. Guava, regardless of its color, offers a significant contribution of beta-carotene, but red or pink guava provides it at higher levels.

Guava juice with red bell pepper, (it does not matter if the guava is white or red, although it is recommended that it be ripe to make it more palatable), they have the great advantage that both provide a large amount of vitamin C to the human organism, which strengthens the immune system.

With regard to the benefits to increase the levels of hemoglobin and platelets in the blood, it is due to the fact that guava provides a large amount of iron, which results in an improvement in these levels. In any case, I recommend consuming guava juice either alone or with red bell pepper, both vegetables being raw (obviously already disinfected), because you make the most of all its nutrients, which are lost when exposed to heat.

I hope this information is useful. Thank you very much for visiting the Amazing Drinks community @millycf1976

The red paprika helps more with hemoglobin in the body, and yes, while the guavas are ripe the taste will be more enjoyable.

Good morning @niggyayo

I see that you are posting on Amazing Drinks for the first time, although I had already seen some of your posts on Foodies Bee Hive, where I am also in charge.

You have brought an interesting juice recipe, however, I will make certain observations to your post:

Our passage through the blockchain reflects us, documents our passage through life and is testimony of what we are, for this reason, the ideal is to be impeccable with our content and our presence, and I particularly consider that being shirtless in a post does not It is the most appropriate, since you are cooking, you are not on a leisure day, (and not even like that, unless you are actually on the beach, in a river, in a pool or in a lagoon). There are minimum standards of presentation and this is one of them, appear in the photos at least wearing a flannel, flannel or sweat suit, not with a naked torso, except in the exceptions that I indicated, so avoid presenting yourself in this way to make recipes in foodie communities, especially at Foodies Bee Hive, Plant Power Vegan, and Amazing Drinks.

As far as I know, red paprika is used in these juices, but that's just my personal appreciation, first time I've seen it with green paprika.

When you use a fruit that is out of the ordinary, (remember that there are people from all over the planet in Hive), as is the case of the sabanera guava, which is different from the common guava, it is convenient to indicate the name in the text fruit or vegetable scientist you are using.

I hope these guidelines are useful to you. Greetings.

Saludos.
