The images for my entry were taken outside The City of St. Peters Rec-Plex located in Saint Peters, Missouri where our son's summer swim league competed in the All County Tournament.

Upon searching to find out more about Bill Rupp I discovered the following information:

ST. LOUIS, MO (Mar 31, 2015)- Lloyd, left, and Bill Rupp are honored as the USO Service Members of the game during a St. Louis Blues hockey game March 30 at Scott Trade Center in St. Louis. The twin brothers enlisted in 1942 into the Marine Corps and served throughout the Pacific. Lloyd was a rear gunner on a Douglas SBD dauntless dive bomber and Bill was an anti-aircraft gunner. Both served four years in the Marine Corps during WWII and settled back in St. Louis.

I love cannons and I like how Bill was honoured at the sports game!
Both Bill and his twin brother Lloyd. Makes me wonder how many twins served together in branches of the military...

I am a huge Blues NHL hockey fan and did not hear or know about Bill and his twin brother Lloyd being recognized at a home game so I found the information interesting.
I must admit that I did not St Louis had a hockey team nor that it was called the blues.
I do like hockey but that is because of New York Rangers, as my football team is Glasgow Rangers and from where all Rangers sports team take their name and colours!
It was great to know that the twins got honoured at a home game, my team has a bond too with veterans and we have an armed forces day where so many of them get into watch the game for free and they do displays etc.
I see.
Numbers refer to the dates on the Memorial.
I wish I could make more time for other fun initiatives.
