It's time again for another fun round of the PhotoChain Challenge!

The KEY-SUBJECTS for this week are 'DOG' and 'REINDEER'

This week's pair of words required thinking outside the box because there was no way our Siberian husky would ever sit still to be photographed near any kind of deer let alone a reindeer! Thankfully we are well into the Christmas season and other options presented themselves.

As many of us mothers tend to do, I saved all of the ornaments my children made and received when they were little. While I was going through the holiday Tupperware containers to decorate the Christmas tree I came across two reindeer ornaments that worked well for my entry. I staged them for a photoshoot along with a spaniel dog figurine my mom bought me years ago during the time when my beloved Cocker Spaniel Sasha was my furbaby companion in life. She will hold a special place in my heart forever!

The backlighting, reflections, and shadows from the colored lights on the Christmas tree created a festive, magical look I hadn't planned on and cannot take credit for. A wonderful surprise from my Samsung smartphone camera!

The smaller "Rudolph" reindeer ornament was an holiday craft my son did in middle school art class. It's made with wooden clothespins glued together, felt antlers, pom pom for the tail and a red sequin for Rudolph's nose along with two #googlyeyes
