THIS THING CALLED MUSIC
What exactly is music? When was the first time it was sung? How did it become so powerful?
Several years back, my family and I lived in a public apartment. Typical of a public house, tenants quarrelled a lot. Sometimes, they resort to using music to pass a message to their rivals. They would increase the volume so loud and shouted the music to make sure the person for whom the message is meant for, gets it. To them, music was the perfect tool to frustrate their enemies.
However, here's how I see it;
This thing called music. It's everywhere. Its in everything.
There is a music for every situation, every feeling, state of mind, season, location and so forth.
Music can dig up a feeling in us, either sadness, happiness, regrets, anger, or even gratitude.
It can bring out a feeling unique to an experience that happened several years before.
It can pass a message of love, hate, apology or gratitude.
Music suits the soul.
In my down time, music suits and uplifts me.
Music gives me a reason to smile and the confidence to face the next day.
When I listen to music, I get stream of ideas about any aspect of my life.
Music directs my thought to make better decisions.
Music serves as a companion in many situations. I can plug in my earpiece, play and dance to music all day long.
With my music, theres never a boring moment.
Music aids my general understanding and helps me appreciate the little gifts that life gives me everyday.
Music helps me understand and appreciate the plants, animals, nature and life in general.
Music is that friend that is always near and ready to help.
What more can I say?
This sound of music, is my companion!
