An Onboarding Journey

avatar

I have been on this blockchain for a year and four months now. I have seen how amazing Hive is; it has touched a lot of lives that I know positively, including mine. Aside from the earning aspect, hive has so much to offer that I can't help but spread the good news to people I know can add value to the growth of the system and benefit from it as well.

I didn't find hive by myself but rather was onboarded by someone who took his time to guide me on the dos and don'ts of hive Blockchain. I have onboarded some people in the past but currently, I am becoming more intentional on the people I onboard. Two days ago, I started a training with a newbie who wants to join hive. I spent 4 hours lecturing her on the things she needs to know about hive. She is a fast learner though, but I will make sure that she only make her intro post when I am well satisfied that she has adequate knowledge to navigate here. There is no need to rush , I have created her account and she taking her time exploring the platform, asking questions which is fine. We are planning on holding one more physical training along side the virtual we have been doing as well. I want to be sure that anyone I am Onboarding get the needed info to avoid falling into trouble. There are lots to learn about hive but there is still a basic too for newbies after which, he or she can discover more things as day passes by.

When I reflect on the impact hive has made in my life, I smile. I haven't seen any other platform so amazing like hive and so I have made it a point of duty to onboard other users out there to. Many educated people especially in my country are still jobless out there when there is a platform like this to keep them engaged and they earn as well. I still feel bad sometimes because I didn't discover hive on time and so I plan to inform others who has been like me, but making them understand as well that hive is not a get rich scheme platform, but where you can develop yourself, grow your account and be earning gradually.

I will be on this mission from time to time. It takes a lot of time and energy to nurture a newbie but it worth the sacrifice. You too can preach hive in your part of the world, especially to those who waste their time and data on irrelevant things in other social media platforms. Together, we will learn more, earn and grow.

Hive to my rescue!

That is a good way to go.

I have been doing a lot of intensive training for those people I'm inviting to the platform myself, that way they will not get frustrated and quit or worst break the rules.

We need to take our time to train them properly otherwise, we wouldn't be proud of people we brought to hive

This is good to know. I've been looking forward to bringing students in my school onboard. One person successfully opened an account but said Hive seemed stressful and complicated so the account is just there.

The other opened an account too but couldn't successfully update profile or post pictures... Kept saying "low memory". She freed up space in her phone but it still wasn't working.

I also had another person in church who opened an account using Ecency. I'm believing their interface is different from Hive onboard or PeakD, he kept asking questions which I didn't understand how to help him because I've never come across such.

I felt so bad. Sometimes I give people link to sign up and they'll say Hive on Board is out of tickets. I'll see how I can find a way around these issues so I can bring more people to the community. Keep up the good work ma.
