Compassion Knows No Borders - LOH #298

I heard about the child survivors in Venezuela who have been going through difficult moments. As a mother I imagined seeing my little kids living without enough warmth in cold weather or even blankets to keep warm; it's heartbreaking, I must say.

Looking closely at the second prompt for this week, which says...👇

2️⃣ How can we keep the door open for donations from other countries so Venezuela can buy blankets and flashlights for the child survivors who are in a difficult situation?

I would say that when people come together during difficult times, not minding the state or continent, it's always lighter to solve the particular challenge because I believe that pain should speak one language – no need for discrimination but love for the affected people.

One thing about disaster is that it can happen to anyone; it can happen to any country. We can never tell. Today it may be Venezuela, and tomorrow it may be Nigeria, and that's why coming together as one to solve problems should be a thing to embrace in order to live in our world today.

There is a need to open the doors for helping others genuinely in need of help. I am sure many people across the globe would want to help as long as there is transparency and trust towards a donation for such a cause.

Take for instance, in 2022 here on Hive, some of us at the Neoxian City Discord server saw the need to help people in need, including the orphanages, the homeless, the less privileged, etc., and so we came together and created a project called NEO CARE. All thanks to @sayee, a kind and generous woman with a large heart who was the origin of this initiative.

This NEO CARE project on Hive to help others wasn't limited to one country; no, the plan was to touch different countries represented here on Hive, and so we began with the Nigerians, which I personally headed this project with all transparency and with pictorial evidence.

After we had a successful orphanage outreach in Nigeria, we moved to Pakistan, and indeed, it was also a huge success. Lots of blankets were provided for the people over there, and for a better insight about these two successful NeoCare projects, feel free to go through this post

Along the line, we couldn't continue this project we initiated. Hive value was very high then, and donations kept declining. Hopefully, this vision won't die off, but this is to tell you that assisting the Venezuelan survivors is very doable. We at Neo Care aren't from the same country, but with trust and transparency, we achieved a huge charity project back then here on Hive.

So yeah, with the use of social media, it is now easier to reach out to people globally for such assistance. Distance is not a barrier, and with digital transfers, donations are very possible.

Finally, I would love to conclude by saying that it's not just about buying blankets or flashlights for these survivors, but it's about reminding them that, indeed, they are not alone. No child should suffer because they are born in any country. We should always keep doors open so that people with the ability to help will do so.
