Don't Let AI Do All the Thinking
If someone told me a decade ago that someday there would be a tool we could chat with and, within seconds, it would give us ideas, explain things step by step, and give answers to every question, I would have told the person that it was simply impossible, but today, that impossible has become part of our lives.

It's now AI here, AI there; almost everyone uses it for one thing or the other. People now make a living using AI, and it's just amazing. In fact, I registered for an AI class a few minutes ago so I won't be left out of the digital era and be outdated.
Just last night, I was with a friend who has been coaching me with some digital skills that could help me land a remote job. So we saw a job offer related to crypto, and it's full-time remote. Then my friend requested that I apply immediately. "Before I do," she said, "Nkem, send me your CV." I did, and she said, "Watch me play with AI so it can structure your CV to fit this job offer." Within a few seconds, AI brought out a well-structured CV, and then I asked her a question...
Do you think that our little kids today will be that creative considering how AI does virtually everything at ease? She smiled and agreed with him that it's a concern, honestly, but as for her, she will embrace AI and limit stress; and that stress is never food... lol.
This prompt is asking if AI is making us better or if it is creating more problems for us. Personally, I would say it's both. Artificial intelligence is making life easier and better and at the same time making us lazy and less creative, or is it the misuse of it?
Those days during my school days, once I was given an assignment, I would rush down to the library to research using different textbooks, including a dictionary, and in the process, I was learning additional things, but today, with a click, we have answers through AI, and that is it—shallow knowledge. It is unlike before. It's now all about copy and paste without understanding the main lesson a teacher is looking out for prior to giving the assignment.
Honestly, this is a concern because my kids are beginning to be affected as I speak. My son told me how his teacher now uses AI to make their notes, and I was like, "Wow."
If only we allow this AI to remain an assistant it is, then we would make the most use of it without it affecting us in any way. Our curiosity and personal effort should not be replaced with AI, but rather, AI should remain a guide, and I think that's the best way to use it. It. Think when you should, research when you should mm, verify, and make mistakes and learn from them.

It's a serious concern. A friend once told me that very soon it would be needless going to school, since teachers use it to teach and also ask the students to use it for their assignments. That it's better they sit at home and learn with it.😀 As funny as it sounds, it calls for serious concern. We should use it with wisdom and not to allow it replace our brain, to avoid brain drain.
my dear..fear dey catch me currently and I pray we don't see the worst
Hmm...I pray so too.

I agree with partially doing the thinking while Ai complement it for us, nice write up
It was great to read your post after a long time. In fact, AI has made everything easier and everyone is using it extensively. I am truly amazed when people slowly give up the desire to think for themselves, give up the effort. We should only use it as an assistant. You wrote beautifully my friend. I always wish you well. ❤️
