FEAR - AN ENEMY WITHIN

Fear is one of the emotions every human being experiences at some point in their life. To me, it's an unpleasant feeling that we cannot escape from although, it is handled differently by every person. Some persons confront their fears and overcome them whereas some fear their fears 😂. There are a lot of things people can be scared of such as losing a loved one or fear of an accident or perhaps, fear of failure.

Let me quickly share with you one of the situations where I was truly scared of losing my husband and how I was able to pull through 👌

It happened 2 years ago, my husband got a contract in the Eastern part of Nigeria and since he was so busy here in the Western part of Nigeria (Lagos state), he decided to give the job out to his close friend who resides in the East. The man was very happy and couldn't stop thanking my husband. They were classmates in the university back then and are civil engineers.

It was a building project, however, my husband didn't know that the guy wasn't too capable to handle such a project all alone. So along the line, the building wasn't coming out well, and errors were so obvious to detect which warrant pulling down some part of the building to accommodate the needed corrections. The owner of the project was so angry over everything because his building materials were wasted. At a point, he told my husband to hire another Engineer to add to the first Engineer so they can be two at least, two heads are better than one. Hmmmmm, this decision was the beginning of the problem my husband had. His friend, the first Engineer didn't like the idea because it means the money will be shared between him and the new Engineer they hired!

The heart of man is indeed evil! The first Engineer got angry with my husband even when he wasn't the person that decided against them becoming two in the project. Like Joke, he demanded 1.2m extra from my husband to pay him off just,3 weeks on the project. My husband couldn't believe that, like 1.2m from where? How? Is he the person that supposed to pay him? It was confusing but the guy meant it. To cut the story short, he went to the extent of threatening my husband that he will kill him, as if that wasn't enough, he went to a native doctor and presented my husband name to him...the native doctor called my husband on the phone, my husband didn't know he was the caller but on picking the call, the native doctor started saying all kind of ugly words 😭. He invited my husband to appear in his shrine and another nonsense talk.

If I should be detailed about the whole thing, I may write up to 3k words. However, within a short time, my husband fall sick, it was so strange to the point that doctors couldn't detect what was wrong with him and he was dying slowly. Saying that I was scared is an understatement, fear gripped all of me and so many thoughts came in. However, it was obvious that the sickness doesn't need a medical approach, so I had to confront my fear and get into prayers.

I got extra hands who joined me in fervent prayers to address the situation. I must admit that it wasn't an easy experience but God stepped in and took charge. My husband became fine again, the prayers hit the evil friend and he confessed what he did with the native doctor out of greed and an ungrateful heart. My husband's good deed almost cost his life, glad we pulled through the situation.

Wow! I read this with a racing heart. Like, wow! For real, people are very wicked o. Like, I had to read it twice! This world is just filled with evil people.

I mean, your husband got the job, but because he was busy he decided to give the job put to his friend.. friend ooo. Ah. You know he could’ve given it to another person and that his so called friend wouldn’t even know anything about it. But he didn’t did that, he chose to give the job to him because of their friendship.

And why did he take it when he knew he wouldn’t do it well?! I know it is not easy to refuse such a job, but why did he get anger when they brought in another engineer? Why?! You’re not doing your job well and they brought someone in to help you!

And he even went extreme making your husband fall sick. Someone that helped you! That is why you can’t even trust anybody. Not in this world! People you call your friends can be backstabbers. I’ve experienced lots of terrible things from “Friends”.

I’m glad you prayed and God answered your prayers. I hope you husband cut ties with him after that incident.

The part where he demanded 1.2m from your husband is just so funny and annoying at the same time. As in, 1.2m for what Abeg? Like, is your husband the owner of the project?! Lol, I’m actually very angry right now🤦‍♂️😂. Like, why would he demand for that?!!!!.

Wow! That was really scary!
It's so sad how a little attempt to help someone can end up almost costing you your life all because of their wickedness and greed😔.

The heart of man is desperately wicked and full of deceit, who can know it, no one except God. The enemy of a man is always someone who is close or dear to him. I'm not surprised at all but I'm grateful that you knew the right approach to the situation and you handled it accordingly.

Gone are those days where by we trust even our so called friends. Well, there are still good ones out there but this kind of experience is capable is changing someone's mentality about friends.

That's right, the Bible commanded us to love one another because God knows how wicked we can be and he go further to tell us to treat others the way we want to be treated.

We have to be wise as serpents but calm as a dove. The only person we should put our Trust in is God, we can only love humans but trusting them is not wise at all.

The heart of man is wicked indeed, sometimes doing people favors might just hurt us in the process, this is the reason why we should be careful. I'm happy your husband survived that scare, because I'd be scared too especially since he fell ill during that fracas.

Hmm! The heart of a man is indeed evil. No wonder some people don't want to help others even when they have excess. If it were an outsider that did that to your husband it would have been considered but his own friend hmm. It is quite obvious that the friend has been envious of your husband for long. But thank God for his divine intervention. Your husband should be very grateful he has a wife like you, honestly you are a wife indeed. Helping others is good but people's attitude is capable of pushing ones good deed away.

Honestly, I am glad that my husband survived the challenge and this has thought us lessons to be mindful of the people we relate with.

Omg. This post was a rollercoaster from the very beginning to the end. This has made me question a lot of things regarding 'friends.' Who do you call a friend in these times?

A friend who'd backstab you given the opportunity? A friend who only wants monetary advantages from you? Or a friend, like your husband who'd present his friends with good opportunities.

What a touching story

Some people do not think twice before they do something, Instead of showing appreciation to your husband who help him and gave him a contract, he went ahead to make him fall sick, that is really bad and I can't believe people like that still exist.

Your husband needs to stay away from him, it nice your husband is feeling great now, the part you play was a nice one, although you were afraid on the first instance but you win.
