MY DAY WITH MY CHILD

Seasons greetings my fellow hivers. I do hope you are well wherever you are. We are just a few days away from 2023 and a few hours left to the Christmas celebration for those of us that celebrate Christmas 🎄. It's my desire we all live to see what 2023 holds for us.

Exactly one week today, I went for a desert 🏜️🏝️ program with my son

When this program was announced in my church, I was so skeptical about going with my son. Then our leader encouraged us to always attend any spiritual exercise program with children if we can. He said that it's one of the best foundations we can add to a child while growing up. He was right and I know that raising a child also requires paying much attention to their spiritual growth as a Christian and so, I decided of going with my son. My husband didn't like the idea at first, he said I shouldn't stress his son but later approved it when he saw my son's interest to attend. We approached there and I couldn't help but admire nature. I wouldn't know if I should call this place a desert anyway but that's what it's termed for this program.

As we approached there, I looked forward and saw something that looked like a building. I was like how on earth can someone be living in this type of bush? It's possible to see a wild animal in the house one day, even me who only came to pray was so conscious of where I was standing..lol

Just before the program started, I was taking a little tour of the surroundings and I saw different plants including a palm tree.

The palm tree is highly beneficial in my country. The tree usually produces palm fruits which we process into palm oil for cooking different soups and other meals. I looked further and saw a kind of plantation of palm trees but I didn't go further to capture it closely

I returned to the spot we made ready for use as regards the program. Many people turn out for the program including children. It was just like a day set apart to pray over so many things that bother us as humans. One can pray at home or anywhere but we decided to be here, far away from home, away from the happenings and noises around, and seek the face of God. God hears prayers from anywhere but I am glad to be a partaker of this program, same with my child. He participated actively in the program for 6 hours. Here is just a picture of a few people that attended before the program started.

It was an amazing day with a memorable encounter. What a great way to prepare for the new year.
