Providing Encouragement to A Newbie || LOH #117

Attaining my little growth in hive has been quite challenging. When I first started, I received a good upvote in my introductory post and I thought it would continue that way in all my subsequent blogs but I was wrong. Each time I publish a post, I got just a few people to read it, no meaningful upvotes, and nothing to encourage me to keep going then I started seeking ways to change things for myself, however, I still find hive challenging in different ways now sometimes but not as it was in my first few months in hive.

Take a look at this Scenario presented by @kerrislravenhill. I will do well to give some tips based on my experience so far.

1️⃣ Scenario 1: A reputation 52 friend says that she no longer wants to be active in Hive, claiming that she can't make the time, the coin is so low valued, and only a few people ever read her posts. What could you do to encourage and help her to keep trying? Writing tips? Time management? Other?

Complaints about no upvotes in hive are common among some newbies including some oldbies. For someone with a reputation of 52, it means the person hasn't gotten good values of upvotes yet in the Blockchain. _{For the benefit of those who don't know, the more your upvotes, the higher your reputation, and the value of reputation usually goes slower from 65}

Now, I will give my recommendation based on what I practice here in hive to anyone on this line of the topic. Here are my few tips:

Firstly, I would love to let the person know that hive is not a platform where you dump your post, and come back in a few hours expecting miracles to happen. My first encouragement will be;

Be visible. Being visible here means active engagement/interaction with fellow hivers through their blogs. How much do you engage in the post of other authors before expecting readers in your blog? If I should be sincere, engagement is what gave me the little growth seen today in hive. Go out there, read and drop a meaningful comment to others and not a spammy and annoying comment. Drop your upvote too no matter how little it is, By doing so, you stand a chance of seeing some of those authors you engage with visit your blog as well.
Build a healthy relationship: This is another vital aspect of hive I don't joke with. Through engagement in people's posts, you will get to make good friends. This space is too vast and no one knows it all, however, little info from friends can add value to your hive growth. Some people have connected from this hive to outside of this Blockchain including me. We get to share ideas and grow better together.
Discover your niche community and be active there. Everyone has areas of interest. Hive has blessed us with so many communities so it's difficult not to find a community you can make your home. It might be more than one, just try to be known for good in those communities and of course, it doesn't stop you from going to other communities to engage to enhance your visibility. You should also be active in the community discord server.
Be consistent: This has given a lot of people good results here. Even outside this Blockchain, consistency is an attribute everyone should possess for a better result. You don't have to be that person that will leave your hive account for ages without any activities and still expect high results. Consistency is the goal, show up regularly and keep pushing, definitely you will see some positive changes.

Now unto the Value of Hive
Involving yourself in crypto also entails patience. The value of hive today should not be a discouragement for you to stop your activities here rather, it should be the opportunity for you to accumulate more if possible and benefit from it when the value increases. From what I have read so far, I believe that hive coin has a good future.

In summary, I believe that anyone who gets good upvotes regularly will not complain about not having time to hive, however, when you are not seeing your desired results, it's an opportunity for you to ask questions, discover what you are supposed to do better, work harder, interact with people, persevere and be committed, with these measures, I believe you will sing a new song in hive platform.
