RESTORATIVE DENTISTRY
In our society today, education has played a greater role in shaping the lives of youth, it prepares them with adequate knowledge for work in the economy, and many get better employment opportunities through different courses being studied at the tertiary level.
In this third edition topic with the #hivelearners weekly contest, we are to talk about our different fields of study or a particular course we plan to study for those still hunting for admission into the university and its usefulness to our society at large.
From my title, you already know my course of study. I am a graduate of Dental Technology. Your oral health care is my priority 🥰😇
There are different courses out there and all are vital to society. You might be an Engineer and needs the service of an Economist and so on. Every course is unique and useful to society in different ways, all working together to make our society a better one👍.
A lot of people neglect their oral health, some only visit the dentist when they are experiencing a painful and unbearable situation forgetting that Oral health is the gateway to overall health and well-being. When you talk about oral health, it refers to the teeth, the gum, and its surrounding, and these help one to speak, smile, eat and express your emotions.
Imagine yourself with one oral health issue or the other which affects your speech, or your eating habits, and the rest, of course, you will feel unease carrying out your daily activities and that is why it is important to always adhere to the instructions of those health workers in preventive dentistry department and when your situation escapes preventive method, then we at the restorative section will take charge in restoring any of the lost tissues.
Dental Technology as a course is a medical course for science students that loves to work in a hospital. Our jobs are:
- Construction of dental appliances such as crowns, bridges, dentures and denture repairs, orthodontic appliances, etc. Simply put, for any of your lost teeth, we restore, for your disorganized teeth😆, we realign, for your lost eyes or ears, there is an artificial means of replacement by the maxillofacial tech. and so on.
In a nutshell, I choose this course to always restore smiles to patients who have lost confidence and their esthetics due to partial or full loss of their teeth and co. I also must sensitize people to preventive measures where possible. This course is useful to society because when their oral health is restored, they are sure of their general well-being and can carry out their daily activities effectively, after all, health is wealth.
Note: Going deep into this course can turn to writing term papers but I believe with these few points, you now have an idea of what the course is all about, why I choose it, and its usefulness to society at large!
This post is in response to the #Hivelearners community contest week 22 edition 3 topic titled COURSE. Interested in this contest? Please visit @kronias blog for updates.

Hmmmmm madam, dentistry is a very important course in the world we are now and a lots of teeth's are going bad now adays expecially the Young ones and they are always available for old people who starts having issues with their teeth.
I love that course but my teeth are not bad but bad 🤣🤣🤣🤣👍👍👍👍
🤣🤣🤣🤣
I am coming to check those teeth 😉
You should visit a dentist once every 6 months for proper dental care otherwise, get ready for us in the restorative section when it goes bad, I know you wouldn't want that so kindly do the needful 🤩
Thanks for your visit fox👍
Okay mama, I will make sure I do the needful
Wow! Dentistry is not an easy course. It's very nice 👍 but I'm scared of you people 😂😩🤒
😅 This is me! Guilty as charged.
Why are you scared oo 🤣🤣
Oh you are even guilty of this, I am coming for you, just wait 🤣🤫
Because of syringes 😂😩. My mood always changes when I'm at a hospital or clinic...
😅🏃🏃🏃
You've done well. I'm scared of you people o. I visited a dental center when I was young (I had a problem with my teeth; it was very painful) and the dentist told me they’d have to forcefully do some stuffs. I was very scared because I had heard stories of how they use tools that looks like hammer (I don't know how true this is). Thankfully it removed on it's own.
I like the course you studied and believe me when I say I appreciate the importance it has on the society. And I also love the reason you chose to study the course; to always restore smiles to patients who have lost confidence.
Thanks for sharing.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Just favour, you are so funny 😅
That's not true however, glad the teeth removed on it's own 😏🤣
Thanks for your beautiful comment👍

Restorative dentistry? Is like is the restorative that is confusing me.
I know what the work of a dentist is and how it is to study a medical course.
You pulled that one off and you're doing amazingly well in it.
Well done, it sure does have very obvious importance to the society.
Smiles...you wouldn't know because I don't blog about it, wanted to but for one reason, I changed my mind
.....however, I would have been doing so consistently if not that I quit practicing for some time now, though temporary stuff due to family reasons hopefully, I should get back to work soon👍🤗
Restorative dentistry is just a part of dentistry as a course...there are branches of dentistry, one just have to choose one because it's vast.
