Hulu and the Grimm Family... PT Three. (The Dhùnné)
50 years ago, the village of Ùtáká and it's neighboring villages were losing children drastically, parents were plagued with fear for over three years. The grim family received distress calls to help them, Michael's father and his grandfather set out to investigate what was really happening. After weeks of investigation and planning, they discovered that it was some demonic creatures, the Dhùnné that was responsible for the missing children. It was said that the Dhùnné feed off children, they had the powers to call on children and draw them away from their homes through whispers from miles away, luring them into their traps or lair, swallowing them alive within seconds. Newborns were the most delicious to them, plus the blood of newborns renews their youth.
It was a bloody massacre when the Grimm fathers discovered their hideouts, they usually live in packs making it easy to kill them all and burn down their sanctuary. They killed all of them, all but the chatty little Grea who went out to pick flowers in the wood, she returned to the annihilation of her kind and sworn to take revenge on the Grimm family.
It took her 50 years to get here, calculating every failed move, she was almost giving up until she overheard some folks saying that the Grimm family needed a mid-wife. She finally had her chance and she won't let anything deter her, even if she goes down, they will go down with her.
Babe, you are back early...* Hulu said to Michael.
Yea, considering the fact that you will be due any minute, I don't want to miss any minute Michael replied. How are you feeling? He asked.
Good, Grea worked her magic as usual...* Hulu said, smiling. But she noticed his expression when he mentioned Grea. What is it, Babe she asked.
Nothing, I'm fine He replied. He didn't want to upset her considering her condition. I'd love you to go to my Mum's place, I don't think it's safe for you to put to bed here He said.
Why? Your mum should have come here, if she cared so much, besides it's not safe for me to travel, the baby can come anytime soon She replied.
Great! Then we should start going now* Michael said breathing fast and paranoid. If Grea is the Dhùnné, then he has to protect his family. His father told him tales of the annihilation, he told him that no one survived but now he doesn't know if he is scared or paranoid.
Babe, Hulu called him, touching him gently. Nothing will happen to me or our baby, Grea... She started to say.
Grea? He cuts in and held his breath.
What did she do? I don't understand, talk to me She insisted.
He walked out and came back with a rifle. I may be wrong, but take this and keep beside you always. I'm going to see father, I want to make sure we are safe, I will be back before nightfall. He left.
As he drove to the county, he hoped to the universe that he was just being paranoid and everything will be okay, he wanted to know how his father destroyed Dhùnné 50 years ago.
I'm here to see Jeffrey Grimm, I'm his son, Michael Grimm He said in a shaky voice.

A few minutes later, he was beckoned to see his father.
I thought you will never come again. Jeffrey said. *Has she given birth? He asked.
The baby will come any time, soon. Dad, I think I have a Dhùnné problem. Michael said.
A Dhùnné? That's not possible, they were wiped out 50 years ago, your grandfather and I made sure of that He replied.
Dad, two children disappeared right in front of me... Michael proceeded to recount the events of that day with Grea.
Well, there's only one way to know if she's a Dhùnné. You don't want to go around killing innocent people and end up here like me. You have a family that needs you, you need to be sure she is a Dhùnné. His father replied.
First, prepare a trap bathed in black salt. A Dhùnné is known to lure children to their lair through whispers even from a thousand miles. So you have to play their own tricks on them, by luring hem into your ready trap by some whispering spells His father said.
What spells, I have never seen any spell for a Dhùnné in our family grimoire Michael said.
It isn't in our family Grimoire. It was hidden for its intoxicating properties. It is believed that if exposed, it's powerful energy can turn any human to a Dhùnné. It is a large scroll hidden in the metal safe behind the hidden hallway I took you and your brother to when you were 5. His father said.
Hurry, I fear that if she is a Dhùnné, then she is probably several steps ahead of you, she might be eating your baby now He said.
No!! No!!! Michael screamed in fear as he began to run out.
Michael, His father called. Remember to wear your black tourmaline crystals before touching the scrolls, good luck my child Jeffrey said.
With this, Michael ran out and into his car, driving with his unsteady and paranoid hands, as fast as he could to save his family.
It was the longest ride of his life...
