IS RELIGION NEEDED FOR SALVATION|| THE OLD PATH

The Bible teaches that salvation is not gained by religion in the sense of human traditions, rituals, or outward practices, but by faith in Jesus Christ and God’s grace. Religion can only guide us for us to know the ways of God but it can't save our soul if we continue to sin. Religion is something we gain from God but not because we're religious. A personal relationship with Christ, not mere religious activity, is what brings true salvation.

However, the Bible also shows that genuine faith often expresses itself through godly living, fellowship, and obedience, which are sometimes practiced within religion. True Christianity is not empty religion but a living faith that transforms the heart. The bible reminds us that pure religion before God is about living righteously and caring for others, not just outward appearance. Therefore, while religion itself is not the requirement for salvation, a sincere faith in Christ will naturally produce a life that reflects God’s truth and love.
