Prayer is a ticket which we use to communicate with God and tell him our problems, for God to listen to us we must come to him with a sincere heart. Prayer should be from the heart and not something to impress people. In the bible Jesus encourages us to always pray in a secret place because our God listens to us when we focus and pray. This shows that true prayer is personal and sincere, not just outward religious activity.

Having faith and putting trust in God helps us for God to listen to us. God cares much about the things we do. In Gospel of Mark 11:24, Jesus said that whatever we ask for in prayer, we should believe that we have received it, and it will be ours according to God’s will. Prayer should also include thanksgiving, repentance, and a humble heart that seeks God’s guidance.

In the new testament Jesus gave us steps which we must follow for us to have a good prayer communication with God. In this prayer, we honor God, ask for His will to be done, request our daily needs, seek forgiveness, and ask for protection from evil. This teaches us that proper prayer should praise God, depend on Him for our needs, and align our hearts with His will.
