LOH Contest #100 : 5 ways to avoid online dating scams

Hi everybody. How are you? I want to congratulate the community for meeting the 100th challenge. Happy. I love the challenges in this community. There are many challenges that are closely related to my circumstances. There are many stories that I share in the community. For this challenge, I will answer the challenge for the second question.

Romance scams are on the rise, and anyone can be a target. Scammers create fake profiles on dating sites and apps, or contact their targets through popular social media sites like Instagram and Facebook. They strike up a relationship with their victims and build trust, sometimes over months or even years. They eventually ask for money, often pretending to need it for medical bills, travel costs, or unexpected emergencies.What will you do to avoid being a victim of dating scams online?

How to avoid becoming a victim of online dating scams? Before I tell you about tips and tricks, I want to let you know if social media is becoming an everyday application that I open. One of them is Instagram and Twitter. To avoid online dating scams, there are many things I do. First, I avoid getting to know people on social media. I always meet people in formal forums. For example in training programs or seminars.

I have never met new people on social media. The risks are very large, one of which is fraud. So I avoid meeting new people on social media. On social media, I connect a lot with my friends. Even though new people follow my social media accounts, I can rate it maybe 20 percent.

Second, I'm always looking for a boyfriend in my circle of friends. I always date guys who I consider to be my friends. I mean, I've known him for a long time. I don't want to date new people. Because it's too risky. Dating violence has recently increased. So I chose to date my own friends.

At the age of 30, I have become more selective in finding a mate. Third, before I make a commitment, I always ask why he approached me. Will this be a serious relationship or just for fun? I always ask you that. Another thing, every little chat I do is find out about the opposite sex perspective on the relationship.

The thing that underlies me is always being asked about my position for the future husband and wife relationship. Can I keep working or should I be a housewife. That's very important to me. Why, for me working now is self-actualization. I don't want anything fun in my life to be lost when I get into a serious relationship.

Fourth, religious issues. You know I'm Muslim. Many religious traditions are firmly held in my family. Before I got into a serious relationship, I always asked what his religious views were. Does he have the ability to carry out Islamic religious traditions at home? I also asked about important things. If other important things convinced me that I was in a serious relationship, I would move on.

As I got older, I realized that romanticism was not my first thought. I think about the ideals that I hold and must be mutually agreed upon, between me and my partner. Like I said, I tried my friend to follow the challenge. I hope @aswita can participate in this challenge.
