Una mujer sonreía mientras tomaba los signos vitales de Cesar, era Amparo de Jesús, una enfermera recién egresada que parecía nunca parar de reír sin importar la situación. Cesar había sido llevado a la sala de urgencias con una herida de bala. Había sido un tiro limpio, el proyectil había atravesado su cuerpo sin dañar ningún órgano vital, estaba muy débil y había perdido bastante peso, pero eso no impidió que siguiere siendo el joven mas optimista y simpático que Amparo jamás hubiera visto. En cuanto recuperó la conciencia y se vieron el uno al otro todo calló en su sitio, sin duda aquellos dos estaban destinados a estar juntos.

Tan pronto Cesar pudo levantarse de la cama, pidió que lo dieran de alta para irse a su casa, pero Amparo le recomendó que se quedara un poco más para que se recuperara, sin embargo a Cesar le urgía hablar con su hermano seriamente para aclarar las cosa. Le preocupaba que Mariano pensara que lo había matado y que estuviera sufriendo por el remordimiento de conciencia.

-Hermano, lo lamento mucho, pero todo parecía indicar que hubo algo entre tu y mi esposa-

-Si te seré sincero, en realidad siempre la amé, pero jamás hubo algo físico entre nosotros, ya sabes que siempre te he respetado-

-Supongo que en cualquier momento vendrán las autoridades por mi, lo tengo bien merecido-

-No te apures, les dije que no vi a nadie cerca de mi el día del disparo y pronto concluyeron que había sido una bala perdida, después de todo esa parte de la ciudad es una de las mas peligrosas-
