Warm greetings to all my dear friends in this lovely lifestyle community; it is a pleasure for me to greet you on this Friday, which marks the start of the weekend.

Recientemente asistí a un curso de traumatismo dentales en dentición primaria, por segunda vez, tuvo el gran gusto de asistir a esta importante conferencia, como ya sabrán soy odontóloga y tengo mucha predilección por el área de odontopediatría por eso es que busco formarme, aprender mucho más de este tema, es por ello que ese día sábado decidí ir a este curso que realmente tenía un costo bastante accesible, ya que la mayoría de los cursos odontológicos para actualizarse, tienden a estar bastante costoso y los ponentes que se iban a presentar iban a estar totalmente excelentes actualizados, espero dentro de algunos años, pueda realizar esta especialidad o algún diplomado que me permita seguir acrecentando conocimientos acerca del área de odontopediatría, mientras tanto, vamos actualizándonos poco a poco acerca de esta gran especialidad.

I recently attended a course on dental trauma in primary dentition for the second time; I was delighted to take part in this important conference. As you may already know, I am a dentist and I have a particular interest in paediatric dentistry, which is why I am keen to further my training and learn much more about this subject, which is why, on Saturday, I decided to attend this course, which was actually quite affordable, as most continuing professional development courses in dentistry tend to be quite expensive. The speakers who were due to present were going to be absolutely excellent and up to date. I hope that in a few years’ time, I’ll be able to specialise in this field or undertake a diploma course that will allow me to continue expanding my knowledge of paediatric dentistry. In the meantime, let’s keep updating our knowledge bit by bit about this wonderful specialism.

Primeramente mi papá me dejó aproximadamente a las 7:30 de la mañana la facultad de ontología ya que el curso iba a ser dictado en el auditorio ángel la sala el curso inició justamente a las 8:30 de la mañana inició una de las ponencias más interesantes de una odontóloga que para mí es referencia en esta área de odontopediatría, la doctora Saraí Paredes es súper actualizada, es una de las mejores de la ciudad, ella iba a dar el tema de tratamientos pulpares en dentición primaria como opciones de tratamiento en la traumatismo dentales.

Firstly, my dad dropped me off at the Faculty of Ontology at around 7.30 in the morning, as the course was to be held in the Ángel La Sala lecture theatre. The course began precisely at 8.30 in the morning with one of the most interesting presentations by a dentist who, for me, is a leading authority in the field of paediatric dentistry, Dr Saraí Paredes is very up to date; she is one of the best in the city. She was going to speak on the topic of pulp treatments in primary dentition as treatment options for dental trauma.

Ella es bastante creativa sin duda alguna, lleva la odontopediatría de una manera diferente en su conferencia, repartió unas deliciosas cotufas, a todos permitiendo cierta interacción y llevando su tema a dos escalas, sin duda alguna amé, su tema y lo actualizada que suele ser la doctora Saraí para mí, fue una de las ponencias más increíbles y casi todas fueron bastante buenas en realidad, las cotufas estaban bastante deliciosas primera vez que voy a una conferencia y reparten cotufas una opción bastante diferente.

She’s certainly very creative; she approached paediatric dentistry in a different way during her talk. She handed out some delicious popcorn to everyone, encouraging interaction and exploring her topic from two different angles. I absolutely loved her talk and how up to date Dr Saraí always is, in my opinion; it was one of the most incredible presentations, and almost all of them were actually quite good. The popcorn was absolutely delicious it was the first time I’d been to a conference where they handed out popcorn; quite a unique touch.

También escuché una ponencia bastante interesante de otro referente de la odontopediatría Enmanuel Ferrer quien habló el tema del conducta clínica, qué hacer en caso de estar presente ante un traumatismo dental cómo debe ser nuestro criterio clínico para abordar cada uno de estos casos que sin duda alguna son un reto y totalmente complejo, el mostro muchos casos clínicos de traumatismo dentales, que se han presentado en su consulta y sin duda alguna bastante sorprendentes este tema también fue bastante interesante, me gusto mucho.

I also heard a rather interesting presentation by another leading figure in paediatric dentistry, Enmanuel Ferrer, who spoke on the subject of clinical management: what to do when faced with dental trauma, and what our clinical judgement should be in tackling each of these cases, which are undoubtedly challenging and highly complex. He presented many clinical cases of dental trauma that had occurred in his practice, and they were certainly quite surprising; this topic was also very interesting, and I enjoyed it very much.

Después en el momento de reposo me fui a sentar justamente en uno de mis lugares favoritos cuando era estudiante, este lugar era mi fuente de paz cuando me encontraba sumergida en mucho estrés ya que estudiaron odontología no es nada sencillo está sometido constantemente a mucho pero mucho estrés, siempre me sentaba aquí a conversar así como también a estudiar, ya que podía ver los árboles escuchar el sonido de los pájaros y quise volver a recordar este momento sentándome en el lugar en donde lo hacía.

Later, during my break, I went and sat in one of my favourite spots from my student days; this spot was my haven of peace when I was under a lot of stress; as I studied dentistry, it’s no easy feat you’re constantly under a great deal of stress. I always used to sit here to chat as well as to study, as I could see the trees and hear the birds singing, and I wanted to relive that moment by sitting in the very spot where I used to do so.

Por última, este curso estuvo cargado de mucho acontecimiento aprendizaje que aplicaré en mi clínica con mis pacientes, fue un día bastante intenso lleno de conocimiento aproximadamente término a las 5:30 de la tarde estáté preocupada, porque pensaba que no iba a poder lograr agarrar transporte público, pero justamente llegué en menos de 1 hora a mi casa, ya estamos prácticamente ubicados de polo a polo, ya que vivo en San Francisco, la universidad está en Maracaibo, sin duda alguna la odontología siempre será cambiante y nos invita a actualizarnos cada día, muchas gracias amigos por leerme nos vemos una presión oportunidad.

Finally, this course was packed with so much valuable learning that I will put into practice in my clinic with my patients. It was quite an intense day, full of new knowledge, and it finished at around 5.30 pm. I was worried because I thought I wouldn’t be able to catch public transport, but I actually made it home in under an hour. We’re practically at opposite ends of the country, as I live in San Francisco and the university is in Maracaibo. Without a doubt, dentistry will always be evolving and encourages us to keep up to date every day. Thank you very much, friends, for reading this; I hope to see you again soon.
