Gratos saludos tengan todos mis viajeros de todas partes del mundo, es un placer para mí saludarles en este lindo martes para seguir mostrándoles lugares lindos de mi ciudad, esta vez le mostraré el paseo de Humberto Fernández Morán.

A warm greeting to all my fellow travellers from all over the world. It’s a pleasure for me to greet you on this lovely Tuesday and to continue showing you some of the beautiful spots in my city; on this occasion, I’ll be showing you the Humberto Fernández Morán Promenade.

Justamente al final de la larga avenida libertador e iniciando justamente la avenida milagro de la ciudad de Maracaibo, podemos encontrar un paseo fotográfico y una plaza de tributo especial a Humberto Fernández Morán un zuliano marabino siempre recordado y nunca olvidado por sus grandes aportes a la medicina, ciencia entre otros más también era un gran investigador justamente en el 2024, este paseo plaza fue construido conmemorando así el centenario de su nacimiento en vida, la plaza es bastante pequeña y podemos ver en la parte central un monumento o escultura de Humberto Fernández Morán cabe destacar que la misma se encuentra en reparaciones, por eso se encuentra envuelta, pero se puede evidenciar que este lleva un objeto muy importante en sus manos que elegiré desglosando.

Right at the end of the long Avenida Libertador and just as Avenida Milagro begins in the city of Maracaibo, there is a photo walk and a square paying special tribute to Humberto Fernández Morán, a native of Maracaibo in Zulia who is always remembered and never forgotten for his great contributions to medicine, science and other fields; he was also a great researcher. It was in 2024 that this promenade and square were built to commemorate the centenary of his birth. The square is quite small, and in the centre we can see a monument or sculpture of Humberto Fernández Morán. It is worth noting that it is currently undergoing repairs, which is why it is covered, but we can see that he is holding a very important object in his hands, which I will describe in more detail.

La plaza posee un parque donde los niños pueden estar y distraerse, pude percatarme que la plaza se encontraba bastante sucia por lo que me imagino que debe llevar días sin sus labores adecuados de limpieza, la plaza en verdad es bastante linda y muy recreativa el parque está en excelente mantenimiento por lo que se puede observar que esto fue colocado recientemente.

Bien el paseo de Humberto Fernández Morán es una galería fotográfica con las reseñas importantes de su vida inicialmente se comienza desde el inicio de nacimiento de la primera etapa de la vida de este gran científico, justamente, la galería debe ser observada desde la izquierda a la derecha nacimiento etapa juvenil adulta, hasta que llega a la muerte, entonces comenzaré a profundizar con ustedes cada detalle.

Well, the ‘Humberto Fernández Morán’ exhibition is a photographic gallery showcasing the key milestones of his life. It begins with the birth of this great scientist and traces the first stage of his life; indeed, the gallery should be viewed from left to right from birth through childhood and adulthood, right up to his death. I shall now take you through each detail in greater depth.

Podemos ver entre los primeros recuadros la partida de nacimiento justamente también con el nombre de sus padres nacido aquí en la ciudad de Maracaibo en el segundo cuadro podemos ver, el pasaporte de Humberto Fernández Morán cabe resaltar que era un hombre con una gran inteligencia, pues este hablaba más de 5 idiomas y tenía el manejo de otros idiomas más era un hombre sumamente culto y preparado, esto lo conllevo a estudiar en Estados Unidos y Europa.

In the first few boxes, we can see his birth certificate, which also lists his parents’ names; he was born here in the city of Maracaibo. In the second box, we can see the passport of Humberto Fernández Morán. It is worth noting that he was a highly intelligent man, as he spoke more than five languages and had a good command of others; he was an extremely cultured and well-educated man, which led him to study in the United States and Europe.

Podemos ver un retrato de su esposa con sus 2 únicas hijas, así como también un logo y una foto de cuando él estaba en el colegio primeramente inició sus estudios de primaria en el extranjero, luego volvió estudiando en el colegio Alemán que hasta la actualidad aún funciona, pero en otra sede cuando él regresó estudiaba en el colegio Alemán y su sede era justamente en lo que es la actual casa de la capitulación.

We can see a portrait of his wife with their only two daughters, as well as a logo and a photograph from his school days: he first began his primary education abroad, then returned to study at the German School, which is still in operation today, albeit at a different location. When he returned, he was studying at the German School, which was based precisely where the Casa de la Capitulación stands today.

Humberto Fernández Morán recibió múltiples reconocimientos en muchas prestigiosas casas de estudio, tanto nacionales como internacionales muchos premios y condecoraciones, pues su gran invento del diamante lo catapultó, lo llevó a ser reconocido y respetado en muchos lugares del mundo, en donde su nombre nunca puede ser olvidado por su gran aporte a la ciencia e investigación.

Humberto Fernández Morán received numerous honours from many prestigious academic institutions, both at home and abroad, as well as many awards and decorations, as his great invention involving diamonds catapulted him to fame and earned him recognition and respect in many parts of the world, where his name will never be forgotten due to his great contribution to science and research.

Para finalizar podemos ver qué Humberto Fernández Morán suele ser también reconocido porque tuvo su papel protagónico nada más, nada menos que en la NASA con bisturí de diamante que fue de su gran ingenio, cabe destacar que Humberto Fernández Morán murió en Suecia, desde ese entonces, su cuerpo había permanecido en este país, pero él pidió en vida que sus restos mortales fueran trasladados a Maracaibo estado Zulia al morir y ser enterrado en el cementerio del cuadrado justamente en las tumbas de sus padres ahí permaneció hasta febrero del año pasado que fue trasladado al panteón nacional de Venezuela.

To conclude, we can see that Humberto Fernández Morán is also often recognised for having played a leading role at none other than NASA, using a diamond scalpel that was the result of his great ingenuity. It is worth noting that Humberto Fernández Morán died in Sweden; since then, his body had remained in that country, but during his lifetime he requested that, upon his death, his remains be transferred to Maracaibo in Zulia State to be buried in the Cuadrado cemetery, specifically in his parents’ graves. He remained there until February last year, when he was transferred to Venezuela’s National Pantheon.
