Gratos saludos tengan todo mis queridos amigos de hive en este domingo, es un placer para mí saludarles en este día.

Warm greetings to all my dear friends on Hive this Sunday; it’s a pleasure for me to say hello to you all today.

Recientemente tomé un carrito de San Francisco me dirigí con mi hermano Alcides, hacia el casco central de Maracaibo para poder comprar algunas cosas en el centro comercial y a su vez poder dar un recorrido y tomar alguna fotografía para todos ustedes, siempre había escuchado de la vida de Humberto Fernández Moran un famoso médico científico, creado del famoso visturide diamante y precisamente hay un paseo plaza aquí en nuestra ciudad qué dedica una galería fotográfica de reseños importantes de su vida, desde el nacimiento hasta su muerte.

I recently took a taxi from San Francisco and headed, with my brother Alcides, towards the city centre of Maracaibo to buy a few things at the shopping centre and, whilst we were at it, to have a look around and take some photographs for all of you. I’d always heard about the life of Humberto Fernández Moran, a famous doctor and scientist who invented the famous Visturide Diamante, and there’s actually a promenade here in our city that features a photo gallery showcasing key moments in his life, from his birth to his death.

Precisamente, la plaza es bastante bonita, pero se encontraba muy sucia, algo muy normal en nuestra ciudad, encontrar lugares, así por la falta del sentido de pertenencia que existe es un lugar bastante comercial, ya que hay varias paradas de carritos de tráfico en el lugar iniciando justamente en la avenida Milagro, justamente terminando la avenida Libertador, Aquí podemos ver varias de lante la plaza Cristobal Colon, a su vez el banco agricola y pecario.

To be precise, the square is quite lovely, but it was very dirty something quite common in our city; you often find places due to the lack of a sense of belonging; it’s quite a commercial area, as there are several street food stalls set up there, starting right on Milagro Avenue and ending just as Libertador Avenue begins. Here we can see several of them in front of Cristóbal Colón Square, as well as the Banco Agrícola y Pecario.

Humberto Fernando Morán, como podemos ver iniciándose recorrido, nació aquí en Maracaibo, y murió en Suecia, pero realizó mucho trabajo durante su vida, pues, ya que era científico, investigador, esto lo llevo a posicionarse en lugares muy importantes. Además, era un hombre que dominaba aproximadamente 5 idiomas y tenía el conocimiento de entender otros 5 idiomas más era un hombre extremadamente culto, preparado esto también le facilitó mucho las puertas en el extranjero para realizar sus estudios e investigaciones.

Humberto Fernando Morán, as we can see at the start of this overview, was born here in Maracaibo and died in Sweden, but he achieved a great deal during his lifetime; indeed, as a scientist and researcher, this led him to hold positions of great importance. Furthermore, he was a man who was fluent in around five languages and had a working knowledge of a further five; he was an extremely well-educated and knowledgeable man, and this also greatly facilitated his opportunities abroad to pursue his studies and research.

En la plaza hay bastante distracción para los niños parques entre otros más, así como también para poder realizar actividad física y ejercicio en el centro de la plaza se encuentra una gran escultura elaborada por un escultor zuliano de Humberto Fernández Morán, pero la misma se encuentra cubierta de bolsas negras me imagino que debe de estar en reparación, la escultura solamente se puede evidenciar cómo está sosteniendo el bisturí.

There’s plenty to keep children entertained in the square playgrounds, amongst other things as well as opportunities for physical activity and exercise. In the centre of the square stands a large sculpture by the Zulia-born sculptor Humberto Fernández Morán, but it’s currently covered in black bags; I imagine it must be undergoing repairs. The only part of the sculpture that’s visible is the way it’s holding the scalpel.

Por último fue un una grata visita a este lugar que particularmente no lo había ni observado cuando agarraba estos carritos, es bastante nuevo y espero se pueda seguir manteniendo sus instalaciones creo que sí necesitas un poco más de limpieza me gustó conocer, profundizar más de los detalles de la vida de este hombre tan importante e influyente para nuestra ciudad me despido.

All in all, it was a pleasant visit to this place, which I hadn’t really noticed before when I used to take these trams. It’s quite new, and I hope they can continue to maintain the facilities I do think it could do with a bit more cleaning. I enjoyed finding out more about the life of this man, who was so important and influential for our city. I’ll leave it there.
