Luis Homes Square – my visit to the site. | La plaza Luis Homes mi visita en el lugar.

Gratos saludos tengan todos mis queridos amigos de esta linda comunidad es un placer para mí saludarles en este sábado fin de semana.

Warm greetings to all my dear friends in this lovely community – it is a pleasure for me to say hello to you on this Saturday at the start of the weekend.

Mente caminando por el municipio el que vivo el que es San Francisco es el más pequeño y el más joven de todo el estado de suria estaba recorriendo la plaza del famoso Luis Homes, qué particularmente yo no conocía nada de su vida siempre había escuchado esta plaza pero no había tenido la oportunidad de visitarla de poder profundizar, quién es este hombre un lugar bastante comercial lleno de muchas personas por lo que decidí tomar muchas fotos y luego cuando llegué a mi casa poder conocer la vida de este hombre.

As I was walking around the town where I live – San Francisco, which is the smallest and youngest in the whole of the state of Suria – I was exploring the square named after the famous Luis Homes. I didn’t actually know anything about his life; I’d always heard of this square but hadn’t had the chance to visit it or find out more, ‘Who is this man?’ It’s quite a commercial area, full of people, so I decided to take lots of photos and then, once I got home, find out more about this man’s life.

La plaza esta en muy buen mantenimiento bastante limpia, jardineras apodadas, todo muy bien pintado y arreglado, normalmente esto no es muy común ya que la mayoría de las personas no tienen mayor sentido de pertenecía por los espacios, la historia entre otros lugares, también tiene una cancha donde se hacen actividades extracurriculares y de uso multiple, también las personas locales juegan baloncesto entre otros deportes más, siendo un espacio recreativo.

The square is very well maintained and quite clean, with well-tended flowerbeds; everything is neatly painted and tidied up. This isn’t usually the case, as most people don’t have a strong sense of belonging to these spaces or to the history of the area, amongst other things. It also has a sports ground used for extracurricular activities and for a variety of purposes; local people play basketball and other sports there, making it a recreational space.

En todo el centro de la plaza hay una gran escultura de Luis Homes, esta esta bien detallada y en bronce, lo que si se encuentra en muy mal estado es la placa que narra una pequeña parte de la historia de su vida, pues este hombre fue, un politico y también poeta entre otras oficios, profesiones más, el sol estaba bastante fuerte últimamente las tempetaturas están muy altas pero igual conocí el espacio y tome bastante fotos, un lugar bastante recreativo para los niños, jóvenes, personas.

Right in the centre of the square stands a large sculpture of Luis Homes; it is very detailed and made of bronze. However, the plaque that recounts a small part of his life story is in very poor condition, as this man was a politician and also a poet, amongst other roles and professions. The sun was quite strong; temperatures have been very high of late, but I still explored the area and took plenty of photos. It’s a lovely place for children, young people and adults alike.

Por último después de caminar por esta plaza de Luis Homes emprendí un largo camino, hasta la avenida principal de San Francisco hasta el sector donde vivo en Manzanillo, tome fotos al paseo San Francisco, la cabecera del puente, como también a todas las lindas vistas del Manzanillo con toda la vista fantástica que tiene del puente sobre el lago, hasta que llegue a mi casa camine bastante kilómetros.

Finally, after walking around this Luis Homes square, I set off on a long walk along San Francisco’s main avenue to the neighbourhood where I live in Manzanillo. I took photos of the San Francisco promenade, the bridge’s approach, and all the lovely views of Manzanillo, including the fantastic vista of the bridge over the lake. By the time I reached my house, I had walked quite a few kilometres.
