Gratos saludos tengan todos mis queridod amigos viajerod de todas partes del mundo es un placer para mi saludarlos en este lindo viernes fin de semana, hoy les quiero mostrar la linda Iglesia San José.

A warm greeting to all my dear travelling friends from all over the world; it is a pleasure for me to greet you on this lovely Friday at the start of the weekend. Today I would like to show you the beautiful Church of San José.

Justamente me encontraba caminando por toda la avenida de Delicias con 5 de Julio, porque iba hacia el segundo Cementerio más antiguo de la ciudad de Maracaibo San José "El redondo", pero no me dejaron entrar puesto que debia esperar el economo del lugar por lo que fui a caminar con mi hermano ya que debía aprovechar el el tiempo al máximo y aprovechar que no había sol, justamente prácticamente a una cuadra después se encuentra la Iglesia San José que me parece que tiene una linda arquitectura bastante impresionante pero a la vez sencilla.

I was actually walking along the stretch of Avenida de Delicias and 5 de Julio, as I was on my way to San José "El Redondo", the second oldest cemetery in the city of Maracaibo, but they wouldn’t let me in as I had to wait for the caretaker, so I went for a walk with my brother as I wanted to make the most of the time and take advantage of the fact that the sun wasn’t out. Just about a block further on is the Church of San José, which I think has beautiful architecture that is quite impressive yet simple at the same time.

Justamente en toda la avenida Principal de 5 de Julio podemos encontrar esta hermosa iglesia de San José, que rinde el tributo a la vida de este santo, es una de las iglesias más reconocidas que están distribuidas a lo largo de esta avenida, cabe destacar que la imagen de San José que se alberga en el interior de esta iglesia sale en procesión los 19 de marzo de todos los años y a su vez sale justamente al frente de la iglesia durante todo el domingo de la misericordia cuando peregrina la imagen de Jesús de la Divina Misericordia estas ambas se saludan, resaltan que este iglesia también presenta sus propios columbarios donde se puedan depositar y almacenar las cenizas de los fieles difuntos.

Right on the main avenue of 5 de Julio, we find this beautiful Church of San José, which pays tribute to the life of this saint; it is one of the most famous churches along this avenue. It is worth noting that the statue of Saint Joseph housed inside this church is carried in procession on 19 March every year and is also placed directly in front of the church throughout Mercy Sunday, when the statue of Jesus of Divine Mercy is on pilgrimage; the two statues are then greeted. It is worth noting that this church also has its own columbariums where the ashes of the faithful departed can be placed and stored.

Ahora bien al momento que fui a tomar la fotografía a las afueras del iglesia esta estaba totalmente cerrada espero poder algún día visitar su interior y poderles mostrarle lo hermosa que es por dentro, el diseño arquitectónico que posee esta iglesia es de estilo Art Deco, tardo aproximadamente 3 años en poder ser construida por completo su edificación se inició justamente en 1941 y terminó en 1944 desde ese entonces tenemos esta linda iglesia, este estilo se asemeja a el de un castillo en el que predomina las líneas rectas, un estilo elegante y sofisticado características de Europa del siglo pasado, es por lo que podemos ver sus bases rectas pintadas, en la parte superior se encuentra su cruz.

However, when I went to take the photograph outside the church, it was completely closed. I hope to visit the interior one day and be able to show you just how beautiful it is inside. The architectural design of this church is in the Art Deco style; it took approximately three years to complete. Construction began in 1941 and was finished in 1944, and we have had this lovely church ever since. This style resembles that of a castle, characterised by straight lines an elegant and sophisticated style typical of Europe in the last century. That is why we can see its straight, painted bases, with a cross at the top.

Podemos ver que esta iglesia posee otras puertas la del centro que es mucho más larga y ancha que esta conduce hacia hacia su altar, dos laterales que estas son bastante estrechas, altas, ambas puertas son de madera, me parece una iglesia bastante hermosa y con una arquitectura muy diferente, ya que normalmente las arquitecturas de las iglesias de Maracaibo están enmarcadas en un estilo neoclásico, antiguo, así como también, gótico, pero está posee un estilo arquitectónico bastante diferente y opuesto, a lo que estamos acostumbrados a las iglesias de Maracaibo, por lo que hemos podemos ver que es una arquitectura bastante elegante a su vez conservando rasgos europeos.

We can see that this church has other doors: the central one, which is much longer and wider than this one, leads to the altar; and two side doors, which are quite narrow and tall. Both doors are made of wood. I find it a rather beautiful church with a very distinctive architectural style, as churches in Maracaibo are usually built in a neoclassical or traditional style, as well as Gothic, but this one has a rather different and contrasting architectural style to what we are used to seeing in Maracaibo’s churches; we can therefore see that it is a rather elegant style of architecture, whilst retaining European features.

Por último, la ubicación de la iglesia es bastante fantástica, ya que es un punto bastante céntrico y comercial de gran afluencia en Maracaibo, ya que quien lo conoce la famosa avenida 5 de Julio que es una de las avenidas más largas que se pueden encontrar en la ciudad, sin duda alguna Maracaibo y sus iglesias no dejan de sorprendernos, quiero ir mostrandole cada uno de ellas y espero que esta iglesia San José les haya encantado, esta igleia nos ha dejado en volver por su gran elegancia nos vemos prontamente queridos amigos viajeros para conocer un nuevo lugar.

Finally, the church’s location is absolutely fantastic, as it’s situated in a very central and bustling commercial area of Maracaibo. Anyone familiar with the city will know the famous Avenida 5 de Julio, one of the longest avenues in the city. Without a doubt, Maracaibo and its churches never cease to amaze us. I’d like to show you each one of them, and I hope you’ve loved this church of San José; this church has left us wanting to return because of its great elegance.
