El vibrante sol marvino no me detiene para seguir tomando fotografías y mostrarle lugares hermosos de nuestra ciudad a cada uno de ustedes, pues quise adentrarme y explorar cada detalle interesante del museo de Arte Centenario del Centro Rafael Urdaneta entre todos los objetos de gran valor que posee podemos encontrar en su primera sala de lectura de Udon Pérez, objetos válidos y bastantes antiguos un sin fín de teléfonos locales, totalmente antiguos de casette los cuales han quedado totalmente en desuso debido a las tecnologías que han avanzado.

The blazing Marvino sun doesn’t stop me from continuing to take photographs and showing each and every one of you the beautiful spots in our city, as I wanted to delve deeper and explore every interesting detail of the Centenario Art Museum at the Rafael Urdaneta Centre. Amongst all the priceless artefacts it houses, in its first reading room named after Udon Pérez, we can find valuable and quite ancient objects – an endless array of local telephones, all old-fashioned cassette-style models, which have now fallen completely into disuse due to advances in technology.

Estos teléfonos me hicieron recordar cuando era una niña y mi abuela tenía varios los cuales los agarraba totalmente para jugar movía, el casette introducía a los deditos para poder marcarlo, y era totalmente divertido, pues podemos encontrar en este museo un sin fín de ellos en donde se utilizaba, justamente su extrema parte totalmente inalámbrica y se colocaba en el oído para poder comunicarte, resalto que a pesar que el espacio no tenga aire acondicionado es bastante fresco por la altura que tiene el techo que permite la fluidez del aire.

These phones reminded me of when I was a little girl and my grandmother had several of them, which I’d take hold of just to play with I’d move them about, stick my little fingers into the cassette to dial the number, and it was great fun. In this museum, we can find countless examples of them, where the key feature was precisely that completely wireless part at the end, which you’d hold to your ear to make a call. I’d like to point out that, although the room isn’t air-conditioned, it’s quite cool thanks to the high ceiling, which allows air to circulate freely.

También se encuentra una exhibición de los anteriores con los monetarios en nuestro país desde el siglo pasado, se ha cambiado innumerablemente nuestro cono monetario debido a la devaluación contante de los bolívares sin embargo, ver bolívares muy antiguos es algo fascinante e incluso puedo tener unos que me, regaló mi mamá en mi cartera guardados y almacenados, me gusta tener objeto antiguos de valor algunos reservados.

There is also an exhibition of past currencies used in our country since the last century. Our currency has changed countless times due to the constant devaluation of the bolívar; however, seeing very old bolívares is fascinating, and I even have a few that my mum gave me, which I keep safely tucked away in my wallet. I like to keep some valuable antique items, some of which I keep aside.

Es un espacio bastante pintoresco y colorido e histórico y cómo se ha encargado de preservar esos patrimonios importantes de Maracaibo, no solo de la ciudad, sino también de Venezuela difícilmente, es muy complicado encontrar museos en Maracaibo, ya que algunos están completamente abandonados, pero los pocos que existen nos recuerdan , esa representación enmarcada de la historia cómo preservar la ciudad de Maracaibo de una manera muy educacional y formativa.

It is a rather picturesque, colourful and historic place, and given the way it has worked to preserve these important parts of Maracaibo’s heritage not only of the city, but also of Venezuela it is very difficult indeed to find museums in Maracaibo, as some are completely abandoned, but the few that do exist remind us, through this framed representation of history, how to preserve the city of Maracaibo in a highly educational and informative way.
