If I know or suspect someone isn't being honest and I confront them, instead of talking to me about it, they'll quickly put all their focus on the art and attempt to discredit me, claiming I'm evil so therefore wrong, relying on a superficial suggestion they think would make them appear to be good in comparison, to any others viewing, in order to get them out of a jam. It's happened quite a few times and once they react that way, it tells me a lot about them; all their secrets.

What happens to their defense if I change the picture? LOL!

Never wise to use appearance biases for nefarious purposes. That always makes them the ones looking bad.

Far out, why though?

they'll quickly put all their focus on the art and attempt to discredit me

I mean why go through artwork to create a narrative against the artist. Then again see all the shit happen in France towards the newspapers. I can see crazy people do shit when they see art.

If they are crazy enough they will come up with any kind of reasoning to suit their intended narrative or slight.

Boils down to human psyche I suppose. If someone's evil, they'll do evil things. A lot of people present themselves as perfect, when they're trying to hide something. Especially in social media. They're exploiting appearance bias for personal gain. Majority of the shadiest charlatans around here had smiling faces.
