The Fate of the Ring || AC Origins

After retrieving the ring, I rode back toward the scavengers camp, but faced unexpected bandit attacks along the way. Upon delivering the tragic news about Turo, the scavengers ignored his fate and squabbled over the treasure instead. Bayek tossed the ring into the air, leaving them to scramble for it.

With the ring finally in my possession, my next task was clear: I had to bring it back to the scavengers. I mounted my horse and began riding across the sandy terrain toward their location.

At first, my horse seemed sluggish, refusing to run at full speed for reasons I could not quite figure out. However, after pushing forward through the desert, it eventually picked up momentum and regained its usual pace.

The journey was far from peaceful, as a group of bandits suddenly ambushed me along the road in an attempt to block my path. Before I could even plan my attack, Senu swooped in and joined the fight without waiting for a command, proving once again to be a reliable and helpful companion in combat.

I focused on taking care of the bandits before continuing my journey toward the scavengers. During the battle, I managed to burn one enemy alongside his horse. They proved to be no match for me, fell quickly as the encounter came to an end.

With the threat cleared, I remounted and rode toward the scavengers' camp, hoping the rest of the journey would proceed without further mishaps.

Upon arriving at the designated location, I found the scavengers gathered together. When Bayek informed them of Turo's death, expecting a reaction of grief or surprise, their response was surprisingly cold.

None of them showed sadness over their fallen comrade; instead, they immediately began questioning me about the ring.

Bayek stood puzzled by their utter lack of concern for Turo, realizing their attention was entirely fixated on the treasure.

Now faced with the task of handing over the ring, I found myself in an awkward position as all three scavengers began demanding it at once.

One claimed it belonged to him because he had done the work, while another insisted it was rightfully his.

The situation grew increasingly chaotic as they argued over ownership. Rashidi seemed near tears as he pleaded his case, but I ultimately decided to present the ring to Oba, who had remained relatively quiet throughout the commotion.

Rather than settling the matter smoothly, Bayek tossed the ring high into the air. The moment it left his hand, all three scavengers scrambled forward, fighting and shoving one another to catch it before it hit the ground.

As Bayek slowly walked backward away from the chaos, the ring slipped into a hole, disappeared beneath the surface. The scavengers immediately dropped to their hands and knees, desperately searching the ground and swearing they would find it no matter how long it would take.

I spoke to each of them individually, listening as they continued to express their obsession with the lost artifact. It became clear that greed had completely taken over their minds. I left them to their endless searching in the sand, successfully bringing the mission to an end.
