La gran puerta de vidrio se abrió y Richard los guio por cada uno de los pasillos del edificio y en las paredes había una gran cantidad de cuadros y como todo era de vidrio se podían ver los estudios de grabación. Michelle quedó sin palabras y dijo —Esto parece un sueño— hasta que por fin llegaron a la sala donde se iba a realizar la reunión y Richard dijo —Esperen aquí—

Los cuatro tomaron asiento, nadie decía nada y de repente, la puerta se abrió y entraron cuatro personas a la sala. Lucas abrió los ojos sorprendidos y preguntó —¿Son ellos..?— Richard contestó —Sí. Es la banda más famosa de Inglaterra— Toda la Banda 17 se levantó y comenzaron a saludar a cada uno de ellos, pero para su sorpresa hablaban en inglés —Hello, it's an honor to finally meet you. —We've heard your music and we really like your style.—

Los cuatro se miraron confundidos, pero Richard intervino inmediatamente —Dicen que es un honor conocerlos, que han escuchado su música y están felices de que aceptaran la invitación— al saber eso las sonrisas aparecieron. Sin embargo, la Banda inglesa seguía hablando, pero la banda 17 intentaba seguir la conversación, pero cada vez parecía más complicada.

The large glass door opened, and Richard led them through each of the building’s hallways. The walls were lined with numerous paintings, and since everything was made of glass, they could see into the recording studios. Michelle was speechless and said, “This feels like a dream,” until they finally reached the room where the meeting was to take place, and Richard said, “Wait here.”

The four of them took a seat; no one said a word, and suddenly, the door opened and four people entered the room. Lucas’s eyes widened in surprise, and he asked, “Is that them…?” Richard replied, “Yes. It’s the most famous band in England.” The entire Banda 17 stood up and began greeting each of them, but to their surprise, they were speaking in English: “Hello, it’s an honor to finally meet you. We’ve heard your music and we really like your style.”

The four looked at each other in confusion, but Richard immediately stepped in. “They say it’s an honor to meet you, that they’ve heard your music, and they’re happy you accepted the invitation.” Upon hearing that, smiles appeared. However, the English band kept talking, and while Banda 17 tried to follow the conversation, it seemed to get more and more complicated.

La Banda 17 tenía una gran responsabilidad y no viajaron a Inglaterra para una simple colaboración, estaban allí para participar en algo enorme. Sin embargo, uno de los ingleses señaló un calendario proyectado en una pantalla y había una fecha exacta. A partir de ese momento tenían que comenzar, ya que miles personas esperaban ese álbum y millones escucharían esa canción.

Para terminar la reunión uno de los músicos ingleses sonrió y extendió la mano hacia ellos. Richard tradujo sus palabras —Creemos que ustedes son exactamente lo que necesitamos para crear esa canción— todos sabían que este era un desafío muy grande, entre todos se miraron y entendieron que la aventura que había comenzado en el aeropuerto acababa de transformarse en algo mucho más grande.

They placed a folder on the table containing sheet music, incomplete lyrics, and various work plans. Richard began to translate: “They say they’re finishing their new album and want us to be on a song.” The members of Banda 17 fell silent, as this was the first time they’d been asked to be part of an album. At that very moment, one of the English musicians spoke again and added, “This song has to be unforgettable.” Richard translated, “The song has to be unforgettable.”

Banda 17 had a huge responsibility, and they hadn’t traveled to England for a simple collaboration; they were there to be part of something massive. However, one of the Englishmen pointed to a calendar projected on a screen, and there was a specific date. From that moment on, they had to get started, since thousands of people were waiting for that album and millions would hear that song.

To wrap up the meeting, one of the English musicians smiled and extended his hand toward them. Richard translated his words: “We believe you are exactly what we need to create that song.” Everyone knew this was a huge challenge; they looked at one another and realized that the adventure that had begun at the airport had just turned into something much bigger.
