Tercera canción en el estudio - Historia [ESP-ENG]
El lunes por la mañana, después de un fin de semana de descanso toda la banda regresaron al estudio. Una vez en el estudio Michelle fue la primera en encender las computadoras, Lucas conectó los monitores de audio y Daniel abrió el panel donde aparecían las estadísticas de sus canciones. Todos se sorprendieron al ver los números de sus canciones, la primera seguía aumentando reproducciones y la segunda, que apenas llevaba pocos días publicada, estaba creciendo incluso más rápido y Richard dijo —Estamos llegando a miles y miles de personas—
El estudio volvió a llenarse de aplausos, abrazos y sonrisas, ya que tenían la certeza de que su música estaba conectando con personas de diferentes lugares. Minutos después apareció Daniel y comentó —Está bien disfrutar este momento, pero no podemos quedarnos mirando los números. Ahora viene un nuevo reto y tienen que volver a dar lo mejor— todos sabían que tenían que componer esa tercera canción. Richard tomó una libreta y comenzó a escribir ideas —No podemos repetir la fórmula de las anteriores, tiene que sorprender, moderna y un ritmo que haga que cualquiera quiera persona la escuche— todos estaban de acuerdo.
On Monday morning, after a weekend off, the whole band returned to the studio. Once there, Michelle was the first to turn on the computers, Lucas plugged in the audio monitors, and Daniel opened the dashboard showing their song statistics. Everyone was surprised to see the numbers for their songs; the first one kept racking up streams, and the second—which had only been out for a few days—was growing even faster. Richard said, “We’re reaching thousands and thousands of people.”
The studio was once again filled with applause, hugs, and smiles, as they were certain their music was connecting with people from all over. A few minutes later, Daniel appeared and remarked, “It’s fine to enjoy this moment, but we can’t just sit here staring at the numbers. Now a new challenge lies ahead, and you have to give it your all again.” Everyone knew they had to write that third song. Richard grabbed a notebook and began jotting down ideas. “We can’t just repeat the formula from the previous ones—it has to be surprising, modern, and have a beat that makes anyone want to listen to it.” Everyone agreed.
Durante horas comenzaron a hacer pruebas, un ritmo electrónico, después con la guitarra y cada idea abría otra posibilidad. For hours, they began experimenting—first with an electronic beat, then with the guitar—and each idea opened up another possibility. Until Daniel received a message from the Apple Music team that read, “We’re pleased to inform you that a music event organized by Apple Music will soon take place in the United States, and all the artists on our platform are invited.” Everyone was surprised—just a few days ago we were dreaming of getting into the catalog, and now we’re being invited to an event alongside musicians from all over the world.
Lucas raised his fist and said, “We have to get there with the third song almost finished.” Daniel thought that was a great idea, because at that event we’ll meet people who’ve been making music for years, learn from the best, and—who knows—maybe find new opportunities for the band 17. The four of them got together and were ready to finish up, as a new chapter in their journey through the United States was about to begin.
