Greetings dear family and friends of the great Hive Learner's community. I want to say a big thank you and appreciation to the hard-working admin and moderators of this community, as your commitments could be seen.

Since the majority have made us believe that schools are the keys to success, it is assumed that we all at one point or the other in our lives must have gone to school (Either Private or Public).

I welcome you to my entry on the 62th (01) week of the Hive Learner's featured post, where I would be telling you about my experience with Public schools.

I Have Attended Public Schools All My Life

Right from my nursery school days up until I entered the higher institution, I have been passing through the public school system and believe me when I say it's the best.

I am aware that most people feel the public school is more inferior when compared to private schools, but there are many hidden benefits of public education that are often overlooked.

Let me give you some first hand informations from experience about public school and why I feel it's the best.

Public Schools Have All The Various Kinds Of Students You Could Think Of

Yes, this might as well be the most overlooked aspect of public schooling that even most students of the public schools have failed to notice.

So here's how it works, the public schools are open to all, regardless of their socio-economic background or family income, and this ensures that all students receive equal opportunities to learn, grow, and succeed in their academic pursuits.

Unlike private schools, public schools cannot discriminate against any student based on their financial status, which means that students from all walks of life have access to the same resources, facilities, and curriculum. This helps to level the playing field, ensuring that every student has the same chances of success.

We should equally note that students from rich homes go to public schools too, which means we have both the rich, middle class, and poor students all in harmony and joy.

This could open ways for better learning from all families involved. Unlike the private schools where people with less money or financial status don't usually get access to.

Public schools are funded by taxpayers and are answerable to the state and local governments, which meansis that they have to operate transparently and provide a high standard of education that meets the needs of their students and the wider community.

One of the most important things I have observed and notice about public schooling is that we play and communicate more efficiently than the private school students.

This doesn't only booast the confidence of the the public school students, but the various activities we do give us the chance to form strong bonds with our peers, and to develop important social and teamwork skills that will serve us well in the future.

To me, I think the exposure is everything, as this helps students develop empathy and respect for people from all walks of life. We are more likely to see the similarities between ourselves and our peers rather than the differences, and we learn to appreciate and celebrate the diversity that makes our world unique.

No wonder, research shows that students who attend public schools with diverse student populations perform better academically and socially than those who attend schools with homogenous populations. This is because exposure to diversity fosters critical thinking and problem-solving skills that are necessary for success in today's globalized society.

What Needs To Be Changed About Public Schools

While there are numerous advantages to attending a public school, it's important to acknowledge that there are still areas that require improvement.

One significant area that needs attention is funding. Because many public schools are underfunded, leading to outdated resources, insufficient teacher salaries, and a lack of extracurricular programs. This leaves many students without the support and resources necessary to succeed.

Because I could remember that in some classes back then in. school, we were lacking some teachers of various important courses.

If enough money is equally channelled to various areas of the public schools, I think it would go a long way to help the entire community have a more secured future.

And another issue to look at is the issue of class sizes, because many classrooms are overcrowded, leading to less individual attention from teachers and a lack of personalized education for students. Lowering class sizes could lead to improved academic outcomes for students.

Conclusion

Let me conclude by telling us that public school is the best, as it offers specialized programs for students of different needs, including those with learning disabilities, those who are English language learners, and those from low-income families.

This diversity within public schools creates a culture of inclusivity and acceptance, where everyone is valued and respected.

Thanks for your time here.

The rich, middle class, and poor all kinds of students read in a public school and I liked this point very much in your article. I think public school is a great place for knowing each other and creating equality among students and everyone is the same and all of them are students.
