The Remedy Is Forgiveness

Big thanks to the admin and moderators of the MCGI Cares Hive's community for setting up a platform where we get to learn about the things of God.

The topic about forgiveness and and love should be one of the most important aspect of any nation seeking to grow bigger, as this would result to unity and blessing to those concerned.

Follow this article, as I would be sharing my view and opinion about the video of forgiveness and love by brother Eli, organized by @hiro-hive.

I watched and learnt alot from the teaching of bro Eli, so am here to contribute and make more emphasis on the topic discussed.

From the lesson thought, I was able to pick out two major concepts which are very important to us as humans and Christians too.

The first thing I noted there was from the book of Ezekiel 18:20 where it made is to understand that "Everyone be it father, son, or any other relation would not carry the sin of his brethren, because everyone has his unique life to live."

And this is very true and practical, because God gave everyone the power of choice, which means we are all given the opportunity to choose to do what is right or what is wrong.

A person who choose to do right, is doing it for his own good, and a person who chooses to do wrong is equally planning to hurt his/herself, and no one else is to be blamed.

For the second point noted, I was made to understand from the book of Matthew 6:14-15 that "If we could forgive those men that have wronged us in one way or the other, So would our heavenly father (God Almighty) forgive us our sins too."

But if we choose not to forgive those that has done us bad in the past, how then do we expect God to have mercy on us when we sin against him on a regular basis.

It has been observed that the saddest word in the Bible is "Sin", while the most beautiful and pleasant word there is "forgive". This goes as far to explain to us why the word "forgive" appeared 109 times in our Bible😊.

I know many may find it very difficult to forgive others because it makes them feel weak, but in reality, the power of forgiveness is one of the greatest strength of a human being.

Checking through our personal life's, we would realize that some people are just trouble makers, seeking to cause one havoc or the other against others without even thinking about their feelings.

God knows that such temptations would come to us to test our Faith's, so we should try as much as possible to overcome and leave in peace with all me, Just as it is written in the book of "Romans 12:18" do your best to see that you are in peace with every man.

Apostle Peter later got to understand how important it was to forgive those who have wrong us, but he was curious about how many times we should forgive those who have done wrong against us.

After Jesus talked to them about forgiveness in the book of "Matthew 18:15-17" Peter asked Jesus in verse "21-22" Shall I continue to forgive my brother even after he has sinned against me seven times?

Jesus answered him and said "You must forgive him even after Seventy times seven times" (meaning we should forgive boundlessly).

Forgiveness is the remedy to a peaceful, healthier, and a more blessed life with God, because there's this joy and peace of mind that we feel whenever we free our grudges.

God has been endlessly demonstrating forgiveness from generation to generation, and Jesus condemns unforgiveness. It's sad how some people prefers to die than forgive others, not realizing how that would affect their lives.

Keep up the good spirits brothers, and live peaceably with all men.
