Feda | A town that is small in size and big in beauty

Hello friends, I hope Norway doesn't seem boring to you after the beauties of Istanbul and Canakkale. You know, the summer season is always more colorful and fun, but we should also find something to entertain ourselves in winter, places to visit and see. We know from our previous articles and you already know that Norway is a country famous for its magnificent natural beauty and historical richness, but sometimes there are small treasure towns waiting to be discovered. If you remember we showed you this with our trip to Mandal, here is another one, the Feda town, I don't think you've heard of it because it's a really small town.

Feda is a small town on the south coast of Norway, part of Kvinesdal Kommune. But regardless of its size, it is a place of enchanting beauty. Surrounded by fjords and surrounded by natural beauty, Feda is a great option for a quiet nature walk. If you are a vacationer who loves nature and tranquillity, you will feel very peaceful in Feda.

Feda's most striking feature is its impressive natural landscape. The town offers a stunning view of the sea and is therefore the perfect location for walking along the coastline and picnics by the seaside. As you can see, there are communal areas on the seaside, where you can enjoy on days when it is usually sunny and not raining.

Actually, our plan was to at least have a snack and enjoy the sea view, but unfortunately it started to rain after we set off and we couldn't enjoy this place as we wanted.

As you can see, this area, which we can use for free, offers you all the facilities you need for a picnic, you can only spend time here for a day, camping and caravans are prohibited here. Normally, if you are thinking of a longer stay in this kind of accommodation, there are also places that allow this in Feda.

These signs attracted our attention where we were and as we understood from the sign under the Svartahala sign, if we follow this direction, there is a walking path into the forest and at the end of this path there is a lookout hut. There are a lot of such huts in Norway and if you have read our previous posts, you must have come across one of these huts. We left this route for another time because the weather was not very good.

The big white sacks that you see up ahead, they have hay in them, and the farmers collect the hay when the time comes and put it in the sacks and they are very durable and waterproof. They use it for grazing their animals, normally after the hay is collected it is taken somewhere else for storage, but in Norway, I don't know if it is the same everywhere, but at least in our area they do it this way. They avoid the cost of transportation and storage. Nobody steals anybody's stuff anyway, which is great.

The color of the car blended perfectly with the green hue of the town of Feda.

Feda is a very small town but it has a wonderful harbor. We are on our way to the harbor and I took this photo above from the car, there were no waves in the sea so I got this amazing photo.

IMG_2394.jpeg

Feda, as I said, is a town in Kvinesdal and according to the latest data 400 people live here. It is almost impossible to see people outside when the weather is bad, we have been here many times but I can say that we did not see any people outside the center, by the harbor and the seaside.

IMG_2397.jpeg

In this harbor you can park your personal boats and usually the boats of people who are engaged in fishing are parked here. At the end of the pier you see in the photo there is a turquoise rope, at the end of this rope there is a crab cage and now the cage is under the water, unfortunately we are unlucky, I could not show you the cage when it was outside. When the cage is outside, there are crabs caught inside and fishermen sell them here. They don't even stand at the cage while selling, the number for the money transfer is next to the cage, the person who wants to buy it buys it himself and sends the money to the number indicated there.

IMG_2398.jpeg

Feda is definitely at the top of our list for tranquality and a quiet walk. I hope this enjoyable trip has attracted your attention, don't spare your comments, they are all very valuable to us. See you in our next post, Bye!

It is a really beatiful place this Town. I liked a Lot the combination of stiles. In Some photos You show us a part of the Town who look stoped in the time line and in others we can see the develpment now a day. The more beautiful photo for me was the stores for the boats.

I actually prefer my walks at times when not many people are out and about but maybe that just means I am anti social LOL

Hahahah you are absolutely right, I also prefer to take a walk when no one is around. Especially the peace of silence can sometimes be missed.
