Not long ago, I attended a sports event held in my city. It was a race celebrating the anniversary of a local gym. Running in this relentless weather isn't exactly my idea of a fun weekend, but hey, the most important and refreshing part of the entire day was the reward waiting at the finish line: cold beer.

They were handing out canned Cardenal beer, and honestly, that first sip was the best way to cool down in the middle of such a hot night. Cardenal is a standard commercial lager, nothing out of the ordinary, though it is highly refreshing to drink one when you are dehydrated and melting after a run. It has a simple flavor, to be honest; it perfectly serves its purpose in these tropical climates.

Right after the event, they set up a live concert, creating the perfect atmosphere to keep drinking beer and just enjoy the rest of the night. Running a couple of kilometers with a cold can waiting for you at the end (plus a live music concert) is definitely something motivating.

Hace poco asistí a un evento deportivo que realizaron en mi ciudad. Se trataba de una carrera por el aniversario de un gimnasio local. Correr con este clima implacable no es exactamente mi idea de un fin de semana divertido, pero bueno, lo más importante y refrescante de toda la jornada fue la recompensa en la línea de meta: cerveza fría.

Estaban repartiendo cerveza Cardenal en lata, y honestamente, ese primer trago fue la mejor manera de refrescarnos en medio de esa noche tan calurosa. La Cardenal es una lager comercial estándar, nada del otro mundo, aunque es muy refrescante beber una cuando estás deshidratado y derritiéndote después de correr. Tiene un sabor sencillo, la verdad; cumple perfectamente su función en estos climas tropicales.

Justo después del evento, armaron un concierto con música en vivo, creando el ambiente perfecto para seguir tomando cerveza y simplemente disfrutar del resto de la noche. Correr un par de kilómetros con una lata fría esperándote al final (y además un concierto con música en vivo) es algo muy motivador.
