My first night in the Strange Forest didn't go exactly as planned. When I finally opened my eyes, it was almost noon, which meant I had already lost half the day. In a survival game like this, wasting daylight is a luxury you can't afford, so I left the shelter in a rush. My immediate goal was simple: mine resources, gather branches, and chop down trees to keep upgrading my gear. However, the map had other plans for my routine.

The moment I stepped into the open area of the zone, I realized this place is far from friendly. I was immediately ambushed by a variety of enemies that seemed to appear out of nowhere. First, I ran into a treasure hunter that looked like a cheap goblin. Right after that, a bipedal aquatic monster showed up on dry land; this one actually gave me a hard time and forced me to focus to avoid an early death. To top it all off, a forest leopard joined the party. I spent the entire day fighting for my life instead of gathering materials, before finally retreating to my camp at the entrance of the forest.

This zone clearly proved to be anything but a peaceful place to sit by the fire and sing songs. To fix my sleep schedule and avoid waking up at noon again, I decided to sleep right outside the canopy tent I had built. The strategy actually worked, and I managed to wake up early the next morning.

Now that I have a better grasp of the area, my next objective is clear: I’m going to tear down this small starter base and relocate. I need to set up a new camp in a more central location of the Strange Forest. Traveling long distances back and forth just to sleep, cook, and craft is a massive waste of valuable time, and efficiency is the only thing that keeps you alive out here.

Mi primera noche en el Bosque Extraño no salió exactamente como lo planeé. Cuando por fin abrí los ojos, ya era casi mediodía, lo que significaba que ya había perdido la mitad del día. En un juego de supervivencia como este, desperdiciar la luz del sol es un lujo que no te puedes dar, así que salí corriendo del refugio. Mi objetivo inmediato era simple: minar recursos, recoger ramas y talar árboles para seguir mejorando el equipo. Sin embargo, el mapa tenía otros planes para mi rutina.

Nada más salir al área más abierta de la zona, me di cuenta de que este lugar es de todo menos amistoso. Fui emboscado de inmediato por una variedad de enemigos que parecían salir de la nada. Primero me topé con un cazador de tesoros que parecía un goblin barato. Justo después, apareció un monstruo acuático que caminaba en dos patas sobre tierra; con este sí me costó ganar la pelea y me obligó a concentrarme para no terminar huyendo. Para rematar, un leopardo del bosque se unió a la fiesta. Pasé todo el día combatiendo por mi vida en lugar de recolectar materiales, antes de poder retirarme a mi campamento en la entrada del bosque.

Definitivamente, esta área demostró ser cualquier cosa menos un lugar tranquilo para hacer fogatas y cantar canciones. Para arreglar mi horario de sueño y no volver a despertar al mediodía, decidí acostarme a dormir fuera del toldo que construí. Al menos la estrategia funcionó y logré despertar temprano a la mañana siguiente.

Ahora que conozco mejor el terreno, mi próximo objetivo está claro: voy a derrumbar esta pequeña base inicial y moverme. Necesito levantar otro campamento en un área más céntrica del Bosque Extraño. Viajar largos tramos de regreso solo para dormir, cocinar y hacer crafteo es una pérdida enorme de tiempo valioso, y la eficiencia es lo único que te mantiene vivo aquí dentro.
