I am sure many don't know that I am the same person as @tezzmax on hive and I have been practicing art for survival as a Nigerian for many years now and the few things I can really say about its financial face around here are some really tough stuffs.

It's obvious that the art industry is more developed and taken care of in the Western world and in Africa, it isn't seen as something with much financial values.

I had read the financial stories behind the works of the Pablo Picasso, Vincent Van Gogh and many other great artists, seeing their works sold for millions of dollars gives many young artists hope that they can also sell for a breakthrough amount someday but in Africa?

In Africa and Nigeria to be precise since that's where I am based and I haven't gotten an opportunity to leave the country yet, I can effortlessly say that we young artists here are quite much these days but the sincere true is that the future of Art and its present in Nigeria is not close to bright at all.

The government doesn't even recognize our art world not to talk of them investing in it in anyway, in other countries whereby artists are surviving basically on their artistic productions, I ask myself often time how possible that is for them, do you what to know what I think my answer is?

I strongly believe it's the foundation of which the practice of art was established. I am sure in the western world, it has always been more like something that can be gifted and that makes it something that can be more appreciated and even paid for but in Africa?

In Africa, from the onset, Art had always been more of a sacred practice and its productions had always been tied to the survival of humanity in Africa, so how do we Africans now make money from our art practices effectively these days like the Westerns do?

Shall we start by educating our people on why they should buy these Arts?

Please let's talk about this!

THANKS FOR STOPPING BY!

Do you know the legal name of @themarkymark ???? It is needed to contact his local police station. Any information to his whereabouts would be much appreciated.

Hello friend I am not very familiar with the art world, but I believe that making a NFT, can result as a great art and can be sold everywhere in the world, since its handling is digital and several artists have been able to sell NFT in large quantities.

I am also interested to see how they can make money that way in Africa, I will wait to see your next post. Best regards my friend.
