Looking To Buy Some Breweries On DCity
I just got another technology card - The Fully Automated Brewery. What it does is it doubles BEER production. I already have one brewery in my city but it doesn't seem to do anything. Maybe it needs more than one to make a meaningful impact.
Anyway, I have placed three bids at between the current Bid/Ask spread so if there is anybody who is serious about selling their brewery card, please do consider. It is more than the 800 that the card would have cost so you make a profit at least.
Come to think of it, my 5x Weed Dispensaries aren't producing any tokens either. At least the Casinos are and I'm receiving a stream of Gamer tokens as well although the dollar amount isn't much.
If anyone has experience with beer production on DCity - is it worth it?

Not to discourage you but the brewery may not be the most interesting investment.
I've got 3 breweries and the Fully automated brewery card. I bought them at the very beginning of my dCity journey almost a year ago. And the return is very low. I got less than 1 BEER during all this time.
Looking at the sim return, there is more than 20 more profitable cards.
When considering the amount of worker per sim (popularity taken into account), if you need to reduce your unemployment, again, it a very average choice.
And on a population increase point of view, it does not fare better either.
But hey, I'm just a very average player myself, so I could be very wrong ;)

Thanks for the tip! Yeah they have not been terrific investments so far. It will take me more than a year to make a BEER. Which profitable cards would you recommend?
I did not update my Google Sheet for quite some time but the prices are globally stable. And it also depends what is your goal.
If you want to focus on SIM production :
Then Hotel, Power Line, Music Store, Ice Cream Shop, Barber Shop were amongst the most profitable (in terms of ROI).
Church has a special place : with 10 "advanced prayers" you get 11SIM that are subject to taxes, and 1SIM without any tax.
My calculation were based on the lowest ask price at the time.
The best is to make your own spreadsheet ;)
Maybe one day, I'll try to see if I can scrape the data automatically...
