Chicken Soto served with white rice

Hi foodies, you must have often seen chicken that is processed into soup or made into other soupy dishes. But this time I want to make a typical Indonesian dish, namely chicken soup served with warm white rice. Soto ayam is usually cooked using coconut milk, because I want to make a clear soto I will cook it without coconut milk.



Ingredients Used

1. Basic Materials



300 grams of chicken
1 potato
2 tomatoes
2 carrots
200 grams of bean sprouts
2 spring onions.
5 lime leaves
3 lemongrass stalks



2. Fine Seasoning Ingredients



15 cloves of garlic
5 cloves of red onion
5 cm Turmeric
15 pieces of cayenne pepper
1 tablespoon coriander
3 candlenuts

Ways Of Making



Step 1

Wash and cut the vegetables into small pieces,

Then fry the chicken until golden brown then shred the chicken or cut into small pieces.

Meanwhile, puree the ground spices that have been prepared and then stir-fry the spices, add the lime leaves and lemongrass, mix well and cook until the aroma comes out.



Step 4

After that add 3 liters of cooking water until the gravy boils then add the chicken, vegetables, and also salt and chicken stock powder.



Step 5

Finally, add the scallions and tomato slices and cook for about 15 minutes until the gravy starts to shrink and the vegetables start to soften.

Soto is ready to be served, I prepared soto with white rice and fried chicken. The taste of the soto ayam is very tasty on the tongue. The mixture of spices is just right, the taste of the vegetables is no less, adding to the taste of the soup.

I tried to eat it with white rice, it's amazing my lunch was perfect, you know after a long day at work, having a delicious lunch is the right choice in my opinion.
