Air clay

Hello folks! Had a busy week here but, I did not "fail" to add into my collection:

the middle one was done before but, I love the little guy and, I wanted to create different "versions" of him

Not that there is anything wrong with me- that's why I do not really want to say anything about my life right now. The thing is, things happen so fast that it takes quite awhile for me to catch up. But, I just want to make this clear: I am very happy and very pleased with all the choices I made in life.

One of the challenges that I imposed on myself in the past few weeks is that, I wanted to deviate from the usual content that I make. I know that others out there would often believe that aside from talking about my life, there is nothing more that I can do. You guys are wrong. In fact, I can write a whole lot now that I feel so happy and at peace.

One of the challenges that I faced was "adjusting" from modeling clay into air clay. You can see from my last post that my attempt to create a chubby animal turned out to be a disaster. Probably because I have always created bigger pieces and well, my pieces are worlds away from being cute, tiny or chubby.

The airclay that I bought dries up so fast that I cannot even make details. When I attempt to blend in some details, the effect is a crack or a 'break.' I got so frustrated with it that I even considered chucking them off to the rubbish bins. But, I gave it one more shot and this is what I made:

It might look cute and perfect for the others but, I could spot a lot of imperfections in it. Not that I wanted to remake it but, I wanted to enjoy it as it is right now. In fact, I even wanted to give these folks names.

Here's the second one:

What's with me and the bears? Its just that I feel happy and at peace creating them. I can create a whole other things but, these are my "security" pieces. And, yeah, before I do this:

I probably just end here!
