Eye Twitching Superstition ~ Coincidence or Real

For most of my years, I used to hear about the eye twitching thing but I never experienced it and, honestly never used to consider it, maybe because I am someone who never believes in most of these things or I just didn't give two cents about them but whatever was the case, I didn't use to see any big deal with so many superstitious beliefs I grew up hearing my parents, elders and society talk about.

Right now, I do not know where I stand, because for the past months I have been experiencing an increasing and daily eye twitch that always leaves me wondering why it is happening. I mean, I have googled and asked around to find out medically the possible reasons why my eyes continually twitch every single day, and the many reasons why don't add up and it's beginning to keep me wondering what exactly it means, and I keep tilting toward the superstitious beliefs that surround the twitching of the eye.

Culturally, I always heard that, depending on the particular eye that is twitching it could mean a sign of good luck, financial gain, or positive news, joy, or good news, or it could also mean a warning of bad luck or impending struggles, a warning of potential sorrow or bad luck.

The back and forth is one of the reasons I do not pay attention to these things because I do believe that they hold no water, I mean why do I start feeling that when my right eye twitches it means this and when my left eye twitches it means that, it is a whole lot of work, I wasn't willing to put in, i better put such effort in making money than doing that but... I guess life said, "Hold on, I got a whole lot of surprises for you" because it is a different ball game.

Now, let's go back to how it began, last year, the month of April precisely, that was the first time I ever felt my eye twitched, and it happened when I was in school, so because it happened the whole day, I had to tell my colleague who was my close pal about the twitching and how it has prolonged, and she told me "Believe me, someone will bless you with money" she kinda convinced me that my eye twitching meant I was going to be receiving a gift money, but I laughed it off saying, what kind of superstitious belief is that, she also knows I do not believe in those things and she saw my reactions but she just said, "Well, that is what the eye twitching means, so just see what happens".

Well, colour me surprised because the weirdest thing happened, before that day ended, a friend whom I hadn't been in contact with for a long time, messaged me and requested that I send my account details for a little surprise gift for my birthday. That was the weirdest thing I have ever seen, I do not know if it was a coincidence or truly a superstitious belief that is indeed true but whatever the case, every time, my eye twitches like it has been twitching for close to a month now, the only weird thing that comes to my mind is "Who is sending me money now" lol

It's weird but I can't help my mind thinking just maybe there is an iota of truth in that superstition, or is it a coincidence that any time my eyes begin twitching non-stop along the line, someone I know of course just promises to send me money or actually sends me money just for breakfast, lunch or to help meet my needs.

I am just becoming afraid now, it feels like I am beginning to believe and take seriously what I never used to, just because oddly every time it kinda works or looks like it goes in sync with it. What surprises me more is that since my eye twitching started last year, even though I can not tell which one twitches and do not always remember to pay attention, to it, no month has ever come and gone that I have not experienced it. It is either in a week straight or maybe a day or two in a month but it just happens and I am beginning to worry, I am getting confused if it is indeed real, or a coincidence.
