After a long time, the rain came. (ENG& ESP)

Hello Hivers! I hope you are having a good week. During all this time the sun has been relentless in my city, we had weeks without seeing rain. Until finally the weather got cloudy and gave us its water falling from the sky. But not everything was beautiful, the rain also brings its consequences and here I will tell you everything that happened.

For weeks now the sun has been very intense and we have reached temperatures of 38°. The heat has been terrible, the air conditioners hardly cooled and going outside meant sweating profusely because of the inclement sun. To all this we must add that in my city there is currently a severe crisis in public services and a water emergency was decreed, since in many sectors and urbanizations there was no water. So imagine how terrible it is not having water and being in temperatures of 38° and not being able to take a bath to cool off. In my home, thanks to God, we have water, but the water level has dropped. That is to say, before we used to get water with a lot of force and now we only get very little. This has affected us a lot because even though we have water for our personal use, it is difficult for us to water our plants and garden. This is why we were looking forward to the rainy season so that our plants would have that much needed water.

On Easter week days the heat was unbearable, it caused us to be in a pool with cold water. Every day I see people arguing on social networks about whether they prefer to be #TeamHeat or #TeamCold. I actually prefer the cold. When it's cold we can wrap up warm and be comfortable. However when it's hot I dislike the feeling a little bit, plus we start sweating a lot and it doesn't feel good. The heat these days has been very strong, I feel that this heat can lower our blood pressure.

Yesterday when I woke up I realized that the sky was cloudy and it seemed that the day was going to be very rainy. It wasn't until the afternoon when the first drops started to fall and the breeze turned cold. It started to rain and we were all thankful that finally after so much heat we could enjoy a rainy day. I really like rain but one thing I don't like is thunder and lightning 😄. In the evening the rain became very heavy and the thunder and lightning were not long in coming. This is where the problems would start.

It was impossible to fall asleep with so much thunder, plus my window would light up every time lightning struck. At one point I heard a loud explosion and the lights went out. Lightning had struck a power transformer and it exploded. So I had to prepare for a long night where I would not be able to sleep. At least I had my phone charged and a few series downloaded and I was able to distract myself from the lack of light. I thought the power problem would take a long time to fix, but after an hour without power, the power came back on. All in all it was a good night.

Today dawned cloudy and the weather is cool, I like it when it is like this. I hope it continues to rain for a few more days to quench the heat and bring my plants back to life. Thanks hivers for reading me, see you soon.

¡Hola Hivers! Espero tengan una buena semana. Durante todo este tiempo el sol ha estado implacable en mi ciudad, teníamos semanas sin ver la lluvia. Hasta que por fin el tiempo se nublo y nos regaló su agua caída del cielo. Pero no todo fue bonito, la lluvia también trae sus consecuencias y aquí te contaré todo lo que pasó.

Desde hace semanas el sol ha estado muy intenso y hemos llegado a temperaturas de 38°. El calor ha sido terrible, los aires acondicionados casi no enfriaban y salir a la calle significaba sudar a chorros por el inclemente sol. A todo esto hay que sumarle que en mi ciudad actualmente hay una severa crisis en los servicios públicos y se decretó una emergencia hídrica, ya que en muchos sectores y urbanizaciones no llegaba el agua. Así que imagínese lo terrible que es no tener agua y estar a temperaturas de 38° y no poder bañarte para refrescarte. En mi hogar gracias a Dios nos llega el agua, sin embargo ha bajado el nivel. Es decir antes llegaba agua con mucha fuerza y ahora solo llega muy poquita. Esto nos ha afectado mucho ya que a pesar de tener agua para nuestro uso personal, se nos dificulta el riego de nuestras plantas y el jardín. Es por esto que deseábamos mucho que llegara la temporada de lluvias para que nuestras plantas tuvieran esa agua que tanta falta les hacía.

En los días de semana santa el calor era insoportable, provocaba estar en una piscina con agua fría. Diariamente veo a la gente discutir en redes sociales sobre si prefieren ser #TeamCalor o #TeamFrio. Yo la verdad prefiero el frío. Cuando hay frío podemos abrigarnos y estar cómodos. Sin embargo cuando hace calor la sensación me disgusta un poco, además que empezamos a sudar mucho y no se siente bien. El calor que ha hecho estos días ha sido muy fuerte, siento que esos calores pueden bajarnos la tensión.

El día de ayer al despertarme me di cuenta que el cielo estaba nublado y que parecía que el día iba a ser muy lluvioso. No fue sino hasta la tarde cuando empezaron a caer las primeras gotas y la brisa se tornó fría. Empezó a llover y todos dimos gracias porque al fin después de tanto calor podíamos disfrutar de un día lluvioso. A mí me gusta mucho la lluvia pero algo que no me gusta son los truenos y relámpagos 😄. En la noche la lluvia se volvió muy fuerte y los truenos y relámpagos no se hicieron esperar. Aquí empezarían los problemas.

Era imposible conciliar el sueño con tantos truenos, además mi ventana se iluminaba cada vez que caía un relámpago. En un momento se escuchó una fuerte explosión y se fue la luz. Un relámpago había caído en un transformador de energía eléctrica y este explotó. Así que tenía que prepararme para una noche larga donde no iba a poder dormir. Al menos tenía el teléfono cargando y con unas series descargadas y pude distraerme por la falta de luz. Pensé que el problema de Luz tardaría muchísimo en arreglarse, sin embargo luego de una hora sin luz, volvió la energía eléctrica. A pesar de todo esto fue una buena noche.

Hoy amaneció nublado y el clima está fresco, me gusta cuando está así. Espero que siga lloviendo unos días más para aplacar el calor y que mis plantas vuelvan a la vida. Gracias hivers por leerme, nos vemos pronto.
