Take a walk with me in the largest and most beautiful park in Belgrade - Kalemegdan
My dears, I hope you also enjoyed your walk?
Since I traveled to Belgrade and had a little more time, I couldn't help but visit Kalemegdan, which really attracts people with its beauty and the historical landmarks that are located there.
And if I have visited it several times, I can always go and visit it again, because this fortress and the park, which is really very large, form a unique whole that Belgrade is proud of.
The people still call it the heart of Belgrade, but not without reason because there is a lot to see within these massive walls, and as I walk through the fortress I have the impression that every corner of it exudes a rich history, various buildings from the past, various sculptures, fountains and rich the greenery that surrounds it.
Several gates are available to enter the fortress, on this occasion we entered the fortress at the "Clock Gate", the gate got its name from the famous tower with a clock on it that can be seen in the background.
So I am in the upper part of the city, where not far from the entrance you can notice a hexagonal building, called "PASINO TURBE", which is perhaps one of the well-preserved Turkish buildings.
Today we are bound to the past and a part of history.
Passage through Istanbul Gate.
Next to the building with the inscription gallery, probably inside the building at certain times you can see the works of art of various artists.
This afternoon was unfortunately closed without incident.
An exhibition of medieval torture devices can also be viewed within the park.
Somehow, I wasn't in the mood to look at these devices, to divert my bad mood and go back to the past.
The very thought of ugly events causes chills.
I preferred to relax surrounded by nature and beautiful experiences.
Through the oasis of greenery and various sculptures to the benches for resting under the canopy of a warm and sunny day.
Countless sculptures that are located on Kalemegdan, each of them has its own special significance for our past.
A sculpture in gratitude to France, surrounded by beautifully trimmed decorative evergreens.
I found myself in front of the Ribar fountain, the sculpture made on the fountain is a classic work of sculpture.
In the fortress, in addition to greenery and rest benches, there are also restaurants in the interior for a drink after a long walk.
A wonderful afternoon spent walking, a bit of history mostly something for everyone, it's just a matter of who is attracted to what and what they really want to see.
I enjoyed walking in one of the largest and most beautiful parks in Belgrade, which exudes historical values and the beauty that surrounds it.
