At my prime: the IT moment that mattered the most.

Hello, everyone.

I welcome you to my blog. While growing up, we have all had our moments where we achieved something we worked so hard for, moments where goals were achieved and dreams were made a reality. All these are considered IT moments. I have had many IT moments of which I am very proud, as they were not easy to achieve. Every day, we expect to make moves that push us towards achieving our goals. Growth is expected of us, and there is no growth without a few IT moments.

This moment shows that you are making progress, and without any, it simply means you are not putting in the work or you are definitely doing something wrong. The IT moment is the result that shows you are putting in the work. If you want IT moments, you must be willing to put in the work so you can see the results, growth, and improvements that come with IT moments.

While growing up, I realized I have a kind of phobia for mathematics. I hated anything that would put me face-to-face with anything that had to do with calculation, not even helping my mom count her money from the shop. With every opportunity I get, I dodge anything that will show how weak I was in mathematics. Every day, I wake up worried because, in school, mathematics is an everyday subject that I just can't run away from. I might be good with other subjects, but my grades in mathematics always affected my results, and it was a cause for worry for both my parents and me.

At first, my parents thought it was the school I was in or the teacher was not good in mathematics because why would a child be so good with other subjects but always fail mathematics? They took me to another school, and it got worse. My mathematics grades were always written with red ink (then red ink means you failed the particular subject). My parents did all they could; they even tried to register me for extra moral classes, but I was not willing to attend.

I had no IT moment in mind, but I wanted to improve. Imagine wanting results without putting in the work needed. It was later, when I realized I needed to put in the work, that I agreed to attend the extra moral classes they paid for. This is how my story changed, and I owe it all to my God, my parents, and Corper Olamide, who was my tutor. Things turned around, and I became very good at mathematics, and until I left school, mathematics was my favorite subject. I even represented my school in competitions.

The students who had a phobia for mathematics later fell in love with the subject. For you to get your moment, you must put in the work, and failure to put in the required work will leave you moving in circles. I refused extra moral classes but expected to get better at mathematics, and I was disappointed. Along the line, I gave in for extra moral classes, and till date, I don't regret it. I dedicated my time to it, and it paid off.
Thanks for reading my post.
