One bad customer service experience is enough.

Hello, everyone.

I welcome you to my blog. In my country, it has gotten to the point where bad customer service is now seen as a normal thing. Many companies engage in that, as no one can query them for it. Even shop owners in our local communities, once they don't have competition nearby, become so full of themselves and start treating customers awfully. This has made bad customer service the order of the day, and both big and small companies are guilty of it.

designed in canva.

The only place you go to and get good customer service in this country is a struggling shop or company; the moment they make a name for themselves, they become like the rest too. Employees attending to customers are rude and nonchalant about their work; they do it like they are being forced to do so. Sometimes even shop owners give customers the worst feeling. To date, there is a lady in my area who I have not stepped foot in her shop after one bad experience because, for me, one bad experience is enough and they lose a customer. She was very rude and talks to customers anyhow.

People who knew her said she was not always like that; then why the sudden change? Some said she got pregnant and things changed, but I did not look at her that well to notice if she was really pregnant or not, and I never went to her shop again after the way she attended to me and everyone that came before me. Instead of her shop that is nearby, I prefer to walk miles to another shop. You cannot be rude to me with my own money, not like it's free or you are doing me a favor.

There is this wine shop in my school area. When they first launched, my friends and I were among the very few customers they had, and we got treated like kings. For every purchase, we got a free bottle of peanuts, and that made us keep coming back. Aside from the way we were attended to, things have changed today. They have expanded and made a name for themselves, and now that good treatment they offered customers is no more, they had no competition. Despite the bad treatment, if you want to buy drinks in bulk at a cheaper and better rate, you must visit them.

On February 14, we bought a wine there only to get home and find out it was an expired wine, and the taste was so bad. We returned it, thinking or expecting to get a replacement at least. The manager said it was not their fault that we picked an expired wine; it was a funny experience that day, and if my friends were allowed, it would have resulted in violence, but we had to let go. A new shop just launched right opposite them; they will definitely be losing customers to the new shop. Bad customer service can bring down a thriving business, but many people don't know.

How to control the menace of bad customer service

  • Employ people willing to work, not people reluctant to work.

  • Companies should not be selfish; they should employ labor equal to the task at hand and not the opposite.

  • Personal opinion: Rude people should avoid owning a shop 😂.

Thanks for reading my post.

Some employees display this character because they believe it’s not their company, they won’t be the one to suffer the consequences.

They forget they can lose the job that's putting food on their table if anything happens to the company.

I totally agree with the fact that most businesses have good customer service while still coming up. Once they make a name, customer service becomes bad.
It's funny but it's the reality.

Imagine o
So whether she was pregnant or not she has still lost a customer because of some rudeness she could have avoided.
I really don’t even know why people do that
Well, it’s her loss not yours. Even though you would rather walk miles to get what you want, she is losing money but you only lose calories 😂

And I really need to burn calories more since I no longer participate in any sport, so I am grateful to her 😂.

Haha, it is agreeable that rude people should really not open shops because they are always going to encounter people. Encountering people is a job for only people who are polite and tolerant.
What you encountered at the wine shop was really terrible. We hope people learn from these things and do better at their shops.

Exactly my point, running shops and companies should be left for polite people to handle.
