That Mathematics Teacher With The Sauce.

Welcome to my blog and another wonderful edition of the Hive Learners' featured post. While in school, we all had a subject or two we feared the most, and each time we hear the teacher coming, we start to tremble and try to dodge so we are not asked questions in class.

I actually detest teaching, but I have been told that if I don't serve in a company, then I will serve in a school. I have already made up my mind about the subject I will teach when the time comes. I want to be prepared and not taken unawares.

My financial accounting teacher realized I hated his subject and there was no hope of ever understanding what he taught; for this reason, he always asks me questions in class. I started skipping accounting classes just to avoid being asked questions, and my teacher reported me to my parents.

Till date, I don't understand anything related to accounting, and I am not bothered as it has nothing to do with my course of study. If you ask me, accounting is that course I dread the most; anytime it's accounting period on the timetable, I feel as if I am being suffocated and am always on the lookout for my teacher so I can run to the library.

I have some subjects I fear, but I still have the ones I love and can comfortably teach without thinking twice. This week's prompt made me think so much about which subject teacher I will be if offered the opportunity. I have come to the conclusion that it has to be mathematics.

From JSS3 on, I was friends with all my mathematics teachers; this made me fall in love with the subject so much. Some of my friends get the same feeling I get during accounting class during mathematics class. On my part, I am always happy to welcome the teacher, and this made me understand everything that was taught in class.

Mathematics is the subject I can teach comfortably without fear of messing things up or misleading the students.

Those who detest mathematics will surely ask such questions. The thing is, I just love the subject, and I am so confident that I can deliver. I will not want to be like some of our lecturers, who cannot handle a course but still handle it anyway, pushing students into more confusion. I know I will be able to break everything down to the level of the student's understanding.

Another reason is that mathematics is a subject students wish they could dodge, but it is not possible to do so. For this reason, the knowledge must be passed on to prepare students for the task ahead. to enable them to carry out simple arithmetic operations, which are mandatory for every person on the surface of the earth.

Students have to understand that if they give mathematics all their heart and put aside their fear of mathematics, they will get to understand everything that concerns mathematics. To flow with mathematics, they must love mathematics.
